We booked this place because it was very close to the ferry and of the missing infrastructure on the island. We are a family of five, two adults and three small children so needed to stay close. However, note there are taxis on the island so you can easily get around. We stayed in one villa, it is a bit worn down, could use a good upgrade. The main entrance/door is basically just a terrace sliding door, so we honestly did not feel 100% safe. There are ants and geckos around and will visit you during the night, now you know. You will be woken by the chickens and hens straying around, also a visit from a cat and dog is almost certain. The general feeling of the area is not top notch but that is I guess La Digue. You can book bikes via the host to get around on the island and see some beautiful beaches.
