Was not expecting a conversion of such an old building to be so well thought out, designed and furnished. Breakfast had everything possible with excellent quality ingredients well cooked and each table had its own toaster!

Lovely location

The scenery and peace and quiet. It is very rare these days to be able to experience complete solitude, but here you can do just that.. the location is ideal for visiting places like Framlington, Aldeburgh etc
We stayed in the luxury 4 poster bedroom, and although the room was perfect, the stairs leading up to the room were very narrow, so anyone with mobility problems will have difficulty getting up the stairs.

Breakfast was averasge - fruit was good but cooked food was luke warm on hot plates.
Bathroom was a good size with a walk in shower.
The bedroom was very narrow with no room for the twin beds to go side by side. Very old mats & a cold floor.
Radiator came on about 5pm but then only luke warm. No info given by owners but we did manage to find the sitting room. Unable to use it due to it being so cold. Radiator was turned off & also in breakfast room. Obviously not many people stay in the winter, as the very good reviews are posted in the summer months. Too cold for comfort.
Certainly not 4* but over priced. The standard & service dod not match the price we paid.
No goodbye from the owners - just to leave key in goor when we left! We will not be reurning.
