Aqua Hostel is located near the main beach of Siófok, but that is the only positive thing to say about this place.

The staff was not able to speak English so all communication was based on Google Translate. The room was so dirty that we suspected that it had not been cleaned since the last visitors. The bath room was not equipped with handsoap which they could not even provide when asked for. Very unhygienic - especially during a pandemic. We can live with old buildings and inventory but not dirt. The shower only provided very cold water until late afternoon. Hungarian guests see this as a party hostel so be prepared to either go drinking or lie sleepless. Our stay at Aqua Hostel was a complete disaster which made us leave a day earlier than what be paid which was around 100EUR per night. We kindly asked for a refund for the last night but they did not seem to understand. The WiFi was limited to the reception. Sadly, the information on booking.com is not correct, so I advise you to find another place to enjoy the Balaton lake.

Location close to party life and beach

Good if you're coming for party and you want to sleep close to Petőfi Sétány street (3-4 mins by foot). Your choice if party is the priority and you don't want to sleep in car. Basic beds, shower, wc. Dont expect anything extra. Location is the main advantage for this place. There were lot of people accomodated in the other apartments and sitting in common garden during our stay. We had a small safe in our room but the staff could not open it and said it is the first time somebody asked. This is NOT your choice if you're looking for a calm or comfortable place.
