About this condo rental
Nestled in Butler Beach, this charming condo for $259 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Spectacular views and beautiful sunrises define this 4th floor oceanfront condo. This condo is great for those looking for a quiet vacation as this private balcony does not overlook the courtyard. In the living room there is a large sectional and flat screen TV that streams live TV through Xfinity Live Streaming. There is no shortage of entertainment . The crisp white kitchen is fully equipped for a stay of any length with a drip coffee pot and a full size, front loading washer and dryer. In the primary bedroom you’ll find a comfortable king size bed and a private bathroom with a walk in shower. The second bedroom includes a queen size bed and a futon for additional sleeping space if need. The two twin beds in the third bedroom, or the “Crow’s Nest,” is perfect for the little ones of the family. All the condos are equipped with private WIFI and have TVs in the living room, master bedroom, and second bedroom. We provide initial toilet paper, trash bags, bath soap, and dishwasher powder. Guests are advised to bring supplementary items if needed. Take advantage of the recreational opportunities of this private gated community, including a large oceanfront pool, children's playground, two tennis courts with pickleball court lines, and a basketball hoop. Our indoor amenities include a heated pool, sauna, racquet ball court, and fitness center. Due to COVID-19 please be advised Colony Reef Club does not guarantee health, safety and welfare and that use of common areas and facilities is at your own risk. The beautiful, white, sandy beaches are just a two-minute walk from buildings 1 and 2 and a three-minute walk from building 3. The beaches are accessible by car with just a short drive north to the Dondanville Road Access. Only a 15-minute drive away is historic downtown Saint Augustine, where there is no shortage of shopping, dining, or fun activities for people of all ages. Check out the towns many historic attractions or hop on the Trolley’s to see it all on the go! You can purchase tickets to many of Saint Augustine’s attractions here in the office! Saint Augustine has no shortage of kid friendly entertainment! Check out the Alligator Farm or the Lighthouse and Maritime Museum here on the island or head downtown for the Pirate and Treasure Museum or Potter’s Wax Museum for some good old fashion family fun!

Everything you would want close by while staying here. Indoor and outdoor swimming pool, playground and ocean within a close walk. The sunrises and ocean view is beautiful from the balcony.Saint Augustine is probably our favorite area on the Florida coast.My family had a great time while staying here and the office staff went beyond expected to handle a small issue not in their control that could happen anywhere you stay. Thank you for a great stay.

We were contacted by the property manager on the day of
our arrival and informed the unit we rented was unavailable due to a plumbing issue. We were told we were being relocated to a “nicer unit.” Upon arrival, we discovered the alternate unit we were assigned did not have the same amenities as the unit we booked (ie stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, leather sofa, or larger televisions etc) We immediately went back to the management office to voice our concerns. The property manager was assertive and dismissive. She informed us that we would have to pay an additional fee for another more comparable unit even though it was off season and the resort was not crowded. She did refund us the VRBO fee because the original unit we rented was not available, but offered no additional compensation for the lesser unit. It has always been my experience that anytime a property is not available, the customer is always upgraded and compensated appropriately without an additional charge.
I feel the entire situation was handled inappropriately and unprofessionally. We enjoyed the beaches of St Augustine and will return again next Summer. We will not rent at this complex again.

Overall a great condo with an amazing view. When we arrived the fridge was dirty and I had to wipe it down. There was mold in the master bathroom shower and the small front bedroom at the air vent, I went to Publix and bought some mildew spray and cleaned it myself. The microwave didn’t work, it was replaced on the 5 day we were there, but the new microwave didn’t work either- so no popcorn on movie night. Some lights were out in the kitchen and dining room- they were replaced on the third day of our stay. There were not any pot holders, or rugs in any of the bathrooms or kitchen. I went to the dollar general to get some pot holders so we could take things out of the oven we cooked. It was a quiet and peaceful condo, which I really enjoyed. Hopefully you can get those few things, and clean the condo ls better- because we love coming here every summer with our family.

We enjoyed our stay at Colony Reef. The condo was clean and spacious. Only problem we had was the dryer kept popping open and ok forever to dry a load. We were in a great area. Lots of restaurants and close to stores. We enjoyed our drive to downtown St Augustine (about 15mins). Would definitely recommend.

Very nice condo with an unbeatable view! We had a great stay for our girls trip! Loved the beach and the pool area. Condo it self was very nice for 4 of us but the kitchen area was very tight when you had more than one person in the kitchen. There were also very few amenities that we are used to like beach towels and only one kitchen towel, no hot pads or pitcher. Made for a bit of a challenge for our usual routines. Everything was in good repair.

We stay at colony reef every year and have stayed in this condo several times. The unit is definitely showing it’s wear and tear. We still had a great time but the bathroom cabinet was broken, the screen door was broken, several glasses were cracked and leaked. Also there were no bath mats or any in the linens. Colony reef is a great complex but not sure I’d stay in this unit again.

The view is awesome. We had an issue with ants in condo and with checking in on Saturday the office closes at 5 and does not open until Monday. We reported issue and they contacted exterminator but was a delay getting out. They were kind enough to refund one night for inconvenience. It is a wonderful location with a beautiful beach.

We have been coming to Colony Reef for over 35 years. This year was enjoyable but disappointing. We had reserved a condo then just a few days before our trip were told the owners needed the condo. If you are going to rent your condo and agree to a date it should be honored. We were with family and as a result we were not close to them. Sad.

The best thing about this condo is the patio size and view. From beautiful sunrise to stormy evenings, we were able to enjoy it all from the covered patio. The condo itself was the perfect size for the 6 people in our group with plenty of room to relax. I couldn’t give it five stars because the beds were a little beat up and uncomfortable and the third bunk room was next to the AC unit and very noisy. There was also an unpleasant musty smell coming from the vents. It improved slightly after we changed the AC filter, but could be bothersome for individuals who are sensitive to smell.

Fantastic location on the beach! Nice proximity to St Augustine. The balcony is wonderful- we really enjoyed spending time out here. Nice windows all the way around the living room as well. The furniture is comfortable.
There is a humidity issue, which creates a very musty smell, and mold on the ceiling of the 3rd bedroom, as well as in both bathrooms. We had to keep the sliding door open at all times to help with the musty smell.
Something we found very strange- there is nothing at this condo as far as supplies. There's no dish soap, no paper towels, no cooking spray, nothing. We had to purchase things that we've never had to purchase while staying at a place. We were only there for 3 days/4 nights so we found that to be a true waste of money.

This was a long weekend get-a-way for our family of 3 couples. We loved the location of the community and that we chose an ocean front unit away from the pool. Plenty of space. Kitchen had enough for our stay. We did have some water issues with air in the pipes and the elevator broke when we were moving our cart up. The ripped recliner probably should be replaced. However, it was just the peace we needed from the past year and really enjoyed Colony Reef Club. We would most definitely recommend and also consider a return visit!

This was a girl's trip we do yearly to the cities near where we live. We are all adult professionals almost ready for retirement and wanted a relaxing place with oceanfront views. The balcony on the 4th floor was amazing with nice chairs and plenty of space to sit and catch up. However, that was the only spectacular quality. If we had a room on the second or third floor there would not have been a view. The only room in the condo with a view was the master and the living room. The dishes in the cabinet were dirty and there were long hairs left in the master shower and hanging from a cabinet knob. The couch was very comfortable for TV watching but staff failed to notify us WiFi was available and we found the password on day 2 on a note on the side of the refrigerator. It was a short drive to many restaurants and businesses. We will not return to this particular property in the future.

The condo is above average. Kitchen is smaller than normal condo units. My grandson who is 8 wanted to use the hot tub when no one else was using it but a security guard told us that it would be a 100.00 fine with no dispute. However during our entire stay there were kids in the hot tub constantly. My grandson asked me if I would pay the 100.00 fine so he could use it...If you are going to establish ridiculous rules then ensure you are enforcing fairly. The rule should be first come first serve and accompanied by an adult.

CRC 1401 was described as recently renovated and a Gold standard condo on your website. The master bathroom's mildew shower and old tiles along with the old worn carpet in the bedroom brings this condo's rating down to a Bronze or lower. The patio doors need to be updated, also. My brother rented 1203 and that would be a Gold standard, in my opinion.

Mattresses need to be updated (squeaky and unsupportive). Time to change carpet in bedrooms (worn and dirty) :-( Floors in kitchen and living areas were filthy! Fan in master not working. Condo 1401 is a great location on the end and south corner of the complex for quiet relaxation when in the condo with amenities around the corner. The patio offers a beautiful view of the ocean for eating, reading or just relaxing. Linens and kitchen utensils were all provided; however, you will need to bring your own paper products, laundry essentials, garbage bags and beach towels/equipment. The master bed is a little firm for my taste. The reclining sectional in the living room looks out directly to the ocean. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. I will definitely consider booking this particular condo again.

My husband and I spent 10 days at Colony Reef Club. We had a top floor unit that was ocean front. The view was wonderful!! The master bedroom bed was not as comfy as I would have liked but I have had 2 back surgeries and I am very picky. The unit was very clean but somewhat outdated and needed some freshening up. The kitchen was not stocked too well but we ate out a lot so that was ok. Overall it was a good experience and we would rent there again. Very convenient location and the view made it a good beach rental.

This was our first stay staying at Colony Reef and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our room (1401) was the perfect setup. We loved that it was on the end, kind of tucked away. That let us be able to sit on our balcony and not feel like we were on display to the rest of the resort. We had beautiful ocean front views. The pool was perfect and it was so nice to have the ocean breeze while at the pool. The only change I would suggest would be to install a ceiling fan on the balcony. We noticed that some other rooms had them but ours did not. It would have made it a little more enjoyable to sit and relax during the day on the balcony. We will definately be returning next year and we hope to secure the same room.
