Overall this a good hotel and a solid base for exploring Istanbul, particularly if you have some requirement to be on the Asian side. I was visiting a clinic for surgery and found the Queen room a very comfortable base to rest and recover. When we first arrived we had a number of issues but these were all resolved through us asking, sometimes persistently.
The room itself was great, spacious and clean. The cleaning staff were fantastic and our room was always left well and they were very kind, flexible and accomodating with us asking them to clean later if we were still in our room. Pillow menu is also a nice touch.
The hotel does not including kitchenware as standard when you have a kitchen but we borrowed from the main kitchen. I'm not sure I see the point in a kitchen with no kitchenware. Having a freezer during hot weather was wonderful.
The TV's have no English channels however it is possible to connect the laptop with HDMI on the back of the television (no ports on the side). The fire display in the room wasn't working but the technician came to fix this, details like this should be checked before us checking-in as it wastes our time. The technician also kindly provided a lamp as there were none in the living space so it was either full lights or dark, this provided a nice ambience for relaxing in the evening.
The WIFI seemed poor at first but we did manage to resolve this through the technician providing us with another option, it worked very well after this so this is the connection that should be provided as standard on 17th floor.
Nearby, there is walkable groceries and places to eat. We enjoyed this and taxi's to the centre were reasonable and arrived quickly.
Having a number of issues that took up our time on our first evening to resolve.
Service at times was either bare minimum or substandard. We should not have to ask for robes in our rooms and kitchenware that should be provided as standard.
We also once asked for a taxi and the taxi driver did not accept card and we had no cash. The hotel did not think to check this with us.
