St Johns House Lichfield

Very nice b&b- but the single room is a very small attic room- and even an average height person may feel restricted by the ceiling height. Staff great and breakfast superb.

Bed was very uncomfortable, only reason I am giving less than excellent

Gorgeous boutique hotel right in the heart of Lichfield. Such welcoming, friendly yet professional staff. I stayed in the Holmes room which is very compact, but the limited space is used very effectively with everything one needs, including an excellent fan on a very hot night. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had...perfectly cooked and beautifully presented in an elegant dining room. Thank you to Sandra the chef and Imogen who served me, and to James on reception for his great welcome. I was only there for one night, but would love an excuse to stay there again!

Loved the location and design of this hotel. Staff were also very lovely.

Overall whilst claiming to be a boutique hotel, it’s looking a little tired and in need of TLC. I don’t know whether it was the location of our room but you could smell the kitchen cooking in the room. Which wasn’t pleasant and made all of our belongings smell too. That was our only negative though.
