Really nice spacious room with balcony in what is essentially a holiday resort next to a beautiful lake in Obertraun. Proximity to Hallstatt and mountain hiking trails, caves and other outdoor activities. Parking included on-site, and convenient bus stop just outside the resort. Walking distance to train and to ferry. Very good breakfast buffet that starts at 7:00. Includes access to on-site activities. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Even though our towels were replaced daily (which would have cost the resort and is somewhat wasteful) the toilet paper was not replenished, and we understood that the policy was to only provide a single roll during our 3 day stay. We would have preferred our towels not be replaced daily but have toilet paper replenished. Other than that everything was great.

Fantastic lakeside location, away from the crowds of Hallstatt's busy tourist center, yet close enough for an easy drive, bike ride, hike, or ferry trip into town. The hotel is perfect for both families, with plenty of activities for children, and couples looking to enjoy peaceful walks and stunning mountain scenery. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh options, and the staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help.

Easy access to Hallstatt by ferry, nice lake front
We were located on upper floor have to climb stairs with luggage, not suitable for my 70 years old sister with injured knee, we could not book ground floor even we were willing to pay extra, the staff was not helpful and kept us waiting for an hour until next staff came to offer to carry luggage to room.
Only one tidy shampoo and bath gel provided for two people two nights, we had to buy own toiletries in minimarket.
Restaurant menu for dinner limited choice and service slow.
It is high season, we feel how busy the place is and the hotel does not hire enough staff to cope!
