The staff were pleasant and the room/bath were clean and spacious. The AC worked great.
The staff is only present from 9-5:30. Our room was on the 5th floor but the elevator only went up 4 floors so luggage had to be hauled up a very European steep stairs to the 5th and of course, down again upon checkout. The neighborhood was great to wander around for food and drink but we didn't check the location very well for proximity to museums and tour starting points. Amsterdam is a very walkable city but 40 minutes to the Rijks and Van Goh was a trek for 2 70 year olds. We tried the tram but the walk to the #5 wasn't worth it and Uber was about $40 each way so walking helped us lose the beer and pancake excesses. By the way, Winkle 43 bar, which is close by, has great Dutch apple pie(looks like cake to me).

The bed was super comfortable. There was an elevator to get bulky bags upstairs. Patrick was helpful regarding local places and how to get there. We were able to leave our luggage before check in time. The neighborhood was easily walkable with many cute restaurants and a market on Saturday. It could not have been better.

Room was fine.
But bed just a bit too big for the room and going to bathroom during the night was an obstacle course between the bed and a wall mounted tv.
Ground floor services/reception did not open until 09:30.
