This hotel was a wonderful example of a super cool boutique hotel in one of the best locations in Amsterdam. The front desk staff were super friendly, helpful & communicative. Our friend group had a mishap with luggage that the staff was super helpful with resolving. We found the rooms to be in great shape, updated, modern, and comfortable. The location is also perfect to walk right over to the Jordaan neighborhood but also close enough walking to Amsterdam Centraal and all of the centrally located Amsterdam sight seeing attractions.
We had the penthouse suite and there was a smell of sewage or something foul coming from the bathtub in the main area of the room. Understand that this is reasonable for old buildings, was just off putting.

Location
Cleanliness, poor breakfast and poor breakfast setting - works were still going on in the breakfast room which is not acceptable for the money paid.
