What a wonderful hotel! It only has about 20 rooms, so it's very intimate while still feeling like a major 5 star property. Staff were incredible, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very large by Japanese standards and very comfortable, and the balcony was a nice bonus! The Onsen bath was smaller than expected but then I realised that with only 20 rooms, it didn't need to be big...it certainly never felt crowded. And my skin was so soft after the weekend! The food was amazing, both dinner and breakfast but particularly dinner, individual courses served one at a time, and just stunning local produce.
The Onsen is closed during the day from 10:00am ~ 3:00pm, so if you are staying multiple days you won't be able to use it during the daytime. And some larger sizes of Yukata for us bigger western women would be appreciated. Other than that I really couldn't fault it!

キングサイズのベッドが気に入った。
ウェルカムドリンクとアミューズが出てよかった。浴衣の種類多くて選べたこと。
久しぶりにオセロで楽しめた。
ディナーも満足感はあった。
室内にタオルの数が少ない。
窓と網戸が汚れてた。
洗面所の照明が暗すぎる。
