Great setup unless handicapped which my wife is and there was no mention of the pool or way to the boat being VERY difficult for the handicapped.

We had a great Family Vacation enjoying the pool, the views, the home, and of course the boat. Home was clean, well equipped, and has a great backyard for kids and adults alike. The floating dock was easily accessible and the boat was in perfect condition. Easy access to the Gulf and Anclote Island. We will book again and highly recommend this property.

Had a beautiful week with friends, my hubby & our furbabies...the house, property & location were great...
Then on our last day (early afternoon) 2 strangers just walked through the side gate & down to the boat...no communication they were coming especially with having 2 dogs with...I believe it was disrespectful since we still had our final day left & just to have people come to interfere with our last day to detail the boat....the boat detail needs to be completed/done after the tenant(s) have vacated from their stay...
Overall, we had a great time, but just felt disrespected with no communication & strangers just walking in thru the gate with no acknowledgement...

We had a few small issues during the week which were quickly addressed. Overall we loved the location and the access to boat-only beaches. I would advise people who want to use the boat to familiarize themselves with the depth charts for the area before arriving. Some locations are very shallow at low tide and it is good to know in advance where you can and cannot take the boat.

The pictures on line do not reflect the property inside. The place I know was old but it could have been much cleaner. The dock needs to be more steady it is really difficult to board a boat when the dock wiggles all over the place. I feel for 260.00 that is really to much for this property.

Comfortable, clean home
This home was very clean upon arrival and we felt right at home. The house was well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Great location, close to grocery stores and many nice restaurants. The pontoon boat was great. Due to weather, we only used it once. But lots of fun. Never did get out to the sand bar. We enjoyed our stay.

When we first arrived, I was upset. The pool is tiny. There's no bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The second bathroom is in the garage-- not under air/heat. It's also miniscule, and there's a huge sign on the toilet that says you must flush before wiping and again after every 2nd wipe or you'll overflow it. The bed in the main bedroom has a mattress that sinks uncomfortably far when you sit on it. The dryer isn't vented outside, so you have to lift the garage door slightly when using it and it heats up the garage (and heats up the 2nd bath too). There's a steep pair of steps with no handrail, to get from the upper level deck to the path down to the dock. The brickwork on the patio deck is uneven, the patio tables/chairs/reclining loungers are cheap and the chair legs are rusting, and the flower pots are all chock full of weeds. Our expectations were just waaaaaay off, due to the variance with the listing photos. I felt so bad that I had encouraged my mom to come with us and pay half the rental cost! But in the end, it all worked out. It's actually not a bad house. The pontoon boat was amazing. The pool was adequate for 4 adults, and we did spend a fair amount of time in it. We dealt with the bathroom and dryer issues. The bed in the main bedroom was actually comfortable to sleep on in spite of the sagging when sat upon. So in the end, none of it was as much of a problem as we first thought it would be. I think the biggest issue was those initial expectations not being met. Show/tell like it is, and people wouldn't have unmet expectations on arriving. All in all, it did work for us and the house was certainly clean and conveniently located. The kitchen has been updated. Floors are nice. There are lots of good things here. Give it a chance, BUT do go in with reasonable expectations. I think we'd all be willing to go back, if they'd be willing to host us again after my review. ;)

Great vacation property

Outside and lack of "curb appeal" tells the story. Property desperately needs refurbishing and a good deep cleaning. Light bulbs out, broken faucet in kitchen, toilet does not flush well so the tank has instructions to "flush before you wipe, and flush before you wipe again, and use the fan!" However, there is no fan. Kitchen is not well equipped, appliances are old and need cleaning. Some drawers are unlined and had old crumbs in among the silverware and cooking utensils. There was one trash bag for the entire week, and one roll of paper towels. Carpet in second bedroom is very worn and badly stained. Recessed fan area in the kitchen is filthy, as are fan blades. There is an excellent library in the dining area. Patio area and pool are pleasant. Boat was in excellent working condition and we enjoyed it very much. Even with all the things that needed fixing, cleaning, and painting, we would probably stay there again because of the outside and boat. If you are used to sparkling cleaned and modern VRBO properties beautifully maintained, you will be disappointed. We have stayed in perhaps 20 VRBO properties over the years and have never seen a property like this. But, if you are flexible and tolerant and enjoy the outdoors and boating, you will have an enjoyable week anyway.

we had a wonderul vaca here! Only complaint was the 2nd bathroom is in the garage and it was so hot bc it doesn't have air. We made it work tho! Peaceful, quiet, great restaurants and we caught plenty of crab for dinner

Great, peaceful house
We loved the boat!! House was clean and very roomy. Wished second bath was not in garage but it worked out fine. Beautiful neighborhood and quiet. Pool is small but my kids loved it! Property managers were great and helpful.

Wonderful home
We had a great vacation, from boating, swimming and fishing. It was all wonderful. Plenty on room and everything we needed to fully enjoy our vacation. A big plus was we got to bring our fur baby Ava! Great location and we will definitely be returning.

Cute little house, Location is a tad inconvenient, Need your own child life jackets
The house itself was great. Loved that it's one floor (no stairs!) and the layout was very lovely and open. The outdoor area was nice and we enjoyed the pool and grilling. The boat was wonderful and really took our vacation to the next level!
Couple things the owners could improve on:
We were traveling with children. The life jackets they have available for use are adult only. It would be nice if they provided child life jackets (infant, small child, larger child) so that guests don't have to purchase life jackets and/or travel with them as they are bulky. I asked the owners about this weeks prior to our departure and they told me to purchase my own. Life jackets are required by law for children age 13 and under so in order to be compliant (and safe!) they are required, and the owners should provide those (in my opinion) with the boat rental. So if traveling with children, bring your own or plan to purchase.
The pool is a little small (as stated in other reviews). It was perfect for us as we have little kids, however I could see for teenagers that it might be too small. It was pretty warm.
The house is located in a quiet and cute neighborhood. Felt very safe. However, there really isn't anything to do near the area other than restaurants and mall shopping. We would do this rental every year if the location had more to do around it. If you plan on doing the boat everyday then that isn't an issue, however for us the weather was poor (cold and rainy, not the owners fault) for over half of our stay so we couldn't use the pontoon for most of our trip and found ourselves with little else to do in the area.
The Care takers Lynn and Roger are SUPER sweet people and very kind. They are VERY knowledgeable about the area so reach out to them for information. Unfortunately, they weren't super responsive and/or didn't follow through while we were there. We contacted them about a bike being broken upon our arrival and they said they'd swing by to fix it but never did. They also said some other things and didn't follow through. I'm sure they are busy, but wanted to note that in the review.
The owners themselves were minimally responsive to messages via VRBO for us which went against the other reviews so not sure if it was just an anomaly or regular practice.
Overall very unique with the pontoon and a great stay. Just some things to improve on would take it to a 5 star for us.

Great get away
This property is exactly as listed. Very nice and clean. Loved having the pontoon. Great fishing off it and the sandbar was wonderful. The property manager Roger is great. He was attentive and shared a ton of information. We were able to partake in fresh crab he caught, absolutely delicious. And he is an excellent fishing guide. The husband went out with him and had a great day of fishing, he caught some big ones. Overall I would recommend this place. This was our first time in this area and we will be back.

Home away from home bonito house
Loved this property, it was spacious clean and comfortable. We especially loved the outside with a beautiful patio and view. The pool was just right for the four of us. The boat was the best part of our trip with frequent rides out to the keys. I could go on and on. The property manager roger was helpful and very knowledgeable. The owner frank was very accessible. I would definitely recommend. Great family place

Super fun week

Perfect vacation!
The house was everything we needed! Close to restaurants, and close to nearby cities for day trips. The boat was our favorite part - we used it just about every day to fish and visit sand bar and beaches. Cooled off in the pool after the hot days. Owners Tammie and Frank were on top of things, and property managers Lynn and Roger saw that we had everything we needed. Can't wait to come back!

Perfect pet-friendly waterfront vacation!
This house was great for my two teenage boys, our dog, and I. It was a nice change from a typical beach vacation, as we enjoyed the adventure of taking the boat out to the gorgeous sandbar. All week we enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the tastefully landscaped backyard, while my oldest son fished from the dock, and the manatees, dolphins and shorebirds just added to the vacation vibe. A great choice!

Great Summer Getaway
The home, pool and boat were as advertised. The property was clean and cozy. The owners and property manager were great in communicating and checking in to make sure everything was fine. It was just 2 of us so the house and pool were fine. Alao can't complain that we had perfect weather for the week.

Great relaxing and quiet family vacation
This property is a tremendous value for what you get!! The house was very comfortable and clean with everything you need provided by the owners (Ie: Plenty of towels, coolers, rafts, beach chairs, fishing poles, bicycles, kayaks, kitchen stuff, grill, etc.). Being on the canal with a soaking pool, awesome paver patio deck with some palm tree shade and the boat really make this rental a slam dunk. We fished in the canal quite bit, took the boat out to the Sandbar on 3 different occasions (which is really awesome BTW and was our beach days - this is a must. An oasis 4 miles out into the Gulf - we saw dolphins, stingrays, and turtles out there or as we headed out there) and spent almost every day on the patio hanging out or playing cards. The property manager (Roger) was fantastic - super helpful and responded quickly to anything we needed. A couple of our recommendations for the area - Rusty Bellies in Tarpon for seafood and atmosphere, Captain Jacks was fun also with local entertainment the night we were there and Rossi Italian was really good (if you are craving Pasta). We also went to The Social in New Port Richey the last night - Highly recommend this place as well (food was great, priced very well). Overall, our family had a great time - Thank you for sharing your property with us.
