The location on the harbor was wonderful. Peaceful and not rushed, unlike the city center. It has beautiful views of the ocean. The continental breakfast was very nice. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. Bonus is the pub on the first floor. It is within walking distance of Dunnotar Castle. Only possible downside is the lack of an elevator to the upper floors for the rooms. This could present a problem for mobility impaired persons.

Excellent harbour front location with fantastic sea view. Friendly service, tasty evening meal, lovely sea bass - not to mention the locally brewed ale. Sent on our way in the morning after an excellent breakfast.
I'm trying to think but it was one of those stopovers that you'd like them all to be like.

We liked the staff and the location. Beautiful view from our room. Good shower and underfloor heating. Sturdy bannister.
The 51 stairs to our room. No lift available. Very difficult for people with respiratory or mobility issues! We were unaware there was no lift.
