The bed was the comfiest I've slept in all year! Nice and quiet at night. It was room only, but breakfast could be bought either as a premade picnic breakfast delivered to your door overnight or a cooked breakfast starting around 9am.
The water in the shower took a few minutes to run warm which seemed a waste of cold water, and when the hot water came the pipes were incredibly noisy under the bath. It would not stop me staying again as when it did come the pressure and heat of the water was lovely.

Very old building and things are fairly dated.

The staff were friendly and welcoming. the premises were clean. nice selection of Ales.
The cooked breakfasts were slightly overcooked and were not consistant from day to day.
