Just minutes away from The Brooklyn Nets' Barclay Center. A four minute walk to the A-train at Nostrand Ave. The A-train is just a 15 minute express ride to lower Manhattan. In Close proximity to Bam Rose Cinemas, B.A.M. (Brooklyn Academy Of Music), Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge. The apartment comes with everything that you would expect to find in your home. This is 'Your Home Away From Home' must reserve for 30 days or more. Contact for more details. Any reservation booked for 28 days or more will require a refundable deposit equal to the cost of the reservation stay and two references. This amount will be added to your reservation cost and must be paid in full before your arrival date. Your refundable deposit will be return to you the day after you have officially checked out. This place needs to be taken off of the website. It was dirty and the host was not very welcoming or friendly. There was black mold on the walls and water damage on the ceiling. VRBO had to move us for safety reasons.

We enjoyed this brownstone neighborhood, with a lot of beautiful trees, neighbors are friendly. Ten minutes walk to the subway station with the express A train to Manhattan in about 15 minutes. There are different cuisine eateries close by. We enjoyed the diversity of the neighborhood. The studio is spacious enough for the two of us. It is nice and warm in the studio and makes it a good home away from home.
We stayed for a month, during the middle of our stay, one night there were three or four people gathered in front of the main door and chatted all night and kept us awake. The next day we talked to John's son, Anthony who lives down stair of our apartment and he said he will talk to them. We are glad that this is just one night incident.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thanks to Anthony who promptly took care of the tv cable box which failed couple of times during our stay.

I stayed for a month while starting a new job in Manhattan and enjoyed my time here. The suite is spacious, well maintained and has all the utensils and kitchenware needed for cooking. It is a short walk to the subway station and bus stops which makes the rest of the city accessible. It’s also generally pretty quiet for New York which is nice to unwind after busy days. I got along well with the other residents of the building and they offered suggestions for lots of the great small businesses in the area. All in all it’s a great intro to New York. Thanks John!

Spacious suite close to subway

Appartement au 1er étage, cuisine équipée il y a tout sur place. Lits à peine petits si vous ne dormez pas en couple mais ça passe pour les vacances. Belle salle de bain. Propriétaire réactif si problème et arrangeant. Nous avons passé un bon séjour. Le classeur qui réunit tout les commerces du quartier et les infos est une super idée. Métro bleu à 5minutes à pied. Métro vert à 10minutes. Pleins de commerces et de supermarché à proximité. Serviettes et draps sur place. Appartement bien chauffé. Nous avons passé un bon séjour.
Négatif : assez bruyant et lumière le matin, faut s'habituer. Coup de balai à passer à l'arrivée.

I had a pleasant stay! John was easily reach but also, there was someone on-site to assist if needed. Location to subway to Manhattan was easily reachable. I had a pleasant stay!

This apartment was perfect for two colleagues and myself to travel to NYC for a few days on a budget. This apartment was perfect for two colleagues and myself to travel to NYC for a few days on a budget. Overall everything was nice and clean. The heaters worked really well. This apartment is on the second floor which came as a surprise. Getting used to all the noises out side took a little time. Totally recommend this place and would be willing to go back again as well.

Bon séjour à New York hôte disponible et très professionnel appartement conforme à la description a moins de 10 minutes du métro pour manathan le quartier est calme et sûr aucun problème même lors de retours tardif près du foodtown pour les courses en résumé très bon séjour à New York avec une population agréable et serviable je garderais un souvenir agréable des new yorkais et recommande cet appartement pour se sentir comme a la maison le soir

Not as it seems
This property seemed like it would be great. The pictures looked good and there were many good reviews. When we got to the property (an hour early), the cleaning lady let us in and said she would hold our luggage, which was great. Check in was at 12pm, so we walked around for a bit and got back to the place around 12:10. She was still not finished with the room and had her crying children with her while she was cleaning. Meanwhile the man downstairs was shouting at the children to be quiet. Not sure if he's a neighbor or another guest. We waited another 10 minutes and then she came down and said it was ready for us. The property was not clean, there was thick dust around the baseboards and there were 2 dirty rags in the bathroom leftover from the "cleaning". The bathtub had grime and hair and didn't look like it was cleaned at all. The towels they gave us were dingy. The sheets and comforters looked like something out of a 90s dorm and didn't smell or look clean. We woke up at 4am to scorching heat from the radiator and were unable to control temperature so we had to turn on the window AC unit and open the windows while it was 30 degrees outside. He did answer when we called at 4AM, but was unable to do anything about it.

Very Clean and Updated Property, quite area close to subway and shopping.
Checking in was very easy. The property manager was very attentive with any questions we had. Would stay again, have recommended to several friends.

Cozy apartment
This clean and cozy apartment was a great resting spot for my family of three. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The beds were comfortable. We used the futon too so that came in handy. I loved the classic brownstone lined street. The apartment was in a convenient location to the subway and grocery store. The welcome book was very informative and helpful. We had two issues that influenced my decision not to give 5 stars. One was that there was construction of some sort going on in the apartment next door the first two days. We were coming in after a red eye flight so it made it hard to take a much needed nap the first day. After that it wasn’t so much an issue because we were out but it might be a good idea to advise the guests of this. Second we came home to the apartment the second day to a strong smell. It smelled like marijuana. I wouldn’t blame this on the owners as it was probably another guest or a worker but it did take away from our experience. All in all except for those two issues we enjoyed the apartment and our time there. I would rent it again as long as the construction was finished.

The property has all the comforts of home. Makes an extended stay very comfortable. Very good restaurants, markets nearby. Subway stop east walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Stay was so-so
The overall layout of the apartment was awkward with no where to sit in the main area other than on the bed. The bathroom tiles around the tub filled with dirt/mold completely unlike the picture of the tub in the apartment post. The remote for Netflix/ alternate tv had no batteries and the hostess had no idea how to work it. She said she would find out and let us know the following day and we never heard back from her regarding this. We were awoken several times the one night with yelling and screaming, unsure if it was from another apartment or outside.
All other apartments that I have stayed in before for the same money had shampoo, soap and tissues available but this place did not.
On the positive side, we arrived late to the apartment, around midnight and Juanita was gracious and friendly when letting us into the apartment.
All in all, comparing this to past experiences, we were disappointed and would not stay here again.

Very Nice place!!
We were 4 friends visiting New York for a festival and we loved our stay. Mr.brake and is family perfectly received us and was able to answer our questions. We loved the appearance of the apartment that met our needs perfectly.The neighborhood seems good to live we and find everything we need at one coner of the apartment. Grocery store, restaurants, liquor store, everything is close. Moreover, it is located 5min from a metro so we could move easily. If we come back to Brooklyn we will definitely go back to the same apartment.

A well located apartment in a quite and safe area, close to the subway station (5min walk). There are many groceries and markets nearby and it is very easy to go to Manhattan. The home was comfortable and clean, and it contained all the things we needed. The owners are very friendly and we will recommend this place definitely to friends. Thank you for a great stay.

We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more! The apartment was exactly as described and pictured. Very comfy and plenty of room for a family of five. Our schedule changes and many questions for our hosts were well recieved and posed no problems whatsoever, they were very helpful and patient with us! :) We will definitely be back!

John and Kim's apartment is really nice. It's a good place to stay, with full and modern furniture and very well located: close to Nostrand and Kingston-Throop subway stations and with many groceries and markets nearby. It's easy to go either to Manhattan either to JFK airport from it. Besides, Bed-Stuy is a lovely neighborhood. John and Kim are very friendly and it was nice to meet them. The relation price-quality is very good. My family and I would definitely come back!

We loved staying here. John and his wife were very welcoming and their communication with us from the time we set up our reservation was always very quick, timely and helpful. The walk to the subway was easy to get to and only a short distance. Getting into the city was easy and fast. There were three of us, myself, my daughter and my grand-daughter and we felt very safe in the area, even at night when returning from the city. This was a very economical way for us to experience our first trip to New York.

Great stay!!! The owners were super friendly and flexible with our arrival time. They not only told us it was our second home, it felt like it. This was truly a home away from home experience. I felt like I was staying with family. The neighborhood is close to anything we needed restaurants, stores, transportation. I would definitely recommend this property.

This place is fit enough for five of us (we have three teenage daughters). It's a quiet and safe area, also easy access to subway. We drove from Canada & parked our car on the street. One day we took subway & left our car on the street all day & night, and the car was still there untouched. We always went home very late around 2 am and it was still safe. Kim and John are friendly, we will recommend this place to our friends.
