About this house rental
Nestled in Saint George Island, this charming house for $550 per night is a great option for your next trip. Located in the exclusive St. George Island Plantation, a private gated community, and only 1.5 blocks from the beach (less than a 5 minute walk), "Lefty's Jewel" has beautiful gulf views, and sits secluded with a private pool. Three bedrooms, each with its own private bath, provide comfortable sleeping for 6 (2 queens, 2 twins). Each bedroom has a TV with a Roku and balcony access. All bathrooms were just renovated in 2023. The master bath suite has a luxurious double walk-in shower for two. The exterior boasts a private pool, complete with a tanning shelf (aka kiddie pool). The expanded main deck provides additional living space. The outdoor shower allows for convenient rinsing after a sandy trip to the beach. Strictly a NON-SMOKING PROPERTY - inside and outside of the home. The Plantation, a private, gated community at the west end of the island offers 24/7 security. The Plantation has a clubhouse, 2 community pools, a fitness center, pickle ball courts and 3 tennis courts for your enjoyment. There are also over 5 miles of paved bike/walking trails. SUMMER RENTALS - please note that we do not typically offer Saturday arrivals or departures during the summer. OCCUPANCY - Strict 6 person max capacity. *Peak seasons and holidays may have a minimum night stay requirement. NOTE - Our home employs a Nest doorbell for security.

Nice, very well-stocked house in an excellent location.
We enjoyed our stay very much. We liked the house itself: good bedrooms, lots of decks and an unusually well stocked kitchen for a rental. Two things that really stood out were the excellent beach access (it's so close that we've stayed at "oceanfront" places behind large dunes that were actually longer walks to the beach) and the beach chairs and other gear that were provided.

This was our 3rd time staying at this property. The property owner is always a pleasure to communicate with and responds very quickly to any questions. It’s really the perfect location, less than a five minute walk to the beach. I love that it has its own private pool, it is a great place to chill if you’ve had enough of the sand! The updates they’ve made to the house are beautiful and just perfect. It’s our favorite place to stay on our favorite island! Looking forward to all of the future summers we will visit!

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the house and the proximity to the ocean, while still being secluded. The pool was terrific after a day at the beach. Would definitely stay again!

This property has everything needed for a great family vacation. A short walk to an outstanding beach. Afternoon swim made our day. Bikes provided and we used them to play pickle-ball a few times at the courts a 15 minute ride away.

The home is in need of a deep clean and pest control. Upon arrival, my daughters noticed a large wad of hair in the drain of their bathroom, along with dirt on the floor. There were large black ants, especially on first floor and in the master bath. The carpet in the first floor bedrooms did not appear clean and the rooms had a musty odor. The bathroom faucets and drains were old and corroded. The mattresses were not comfortable and the pillows in the first floor rooms were flat. We enjoyed the beach and the island, but were very disappointed in the home, especially considering the amount we paid.

We absolutely loved the house and the area Lefty’s Jewel offered. The house is has plenty of room & everything you need to enjoy your visit. The pool is amazing when needing a good cool off from the ocean. Would definitely book again.

Best Place on the Island Hands Down
Lefty's Jewel is the best! Dozens of visits to SGI and this was by far my favorite. Privacy, views and a pool. The kitchen is very well-stocked for entertaining. Comfy furniture, soft towels, super clean. I can't wait to go back!

A too short stay at a vista view paradise
We hosted family from Seattle, Washington who paid us a too short visit. Like us, they loved lounging in the private pool before departing for an evening beach walk only a block away. Overall, nice accommodations managed by a thoughtful host. Cheers!

This house is in a gated community. So lots of privacy & room on the beach. You have access to the clubhouse (fitness center, community pools, etc). This house has it’s own pool which was clean & great size for our family of 7. Lots of biking & walking trails. Beds were comfortable & lots of bathrooms. Very clean. Walk to beach is 5 minutes. House has some beach chairs, body board, sand toys & coolers & 4 bicycles. Grill is park like grill vs movable Webber or propane style. You are about 10-15 minute drive to town center. I would definitely stay here again. Danielle was very easy to get a hold of & very responsive.

But cell phone reception was good. Absolutely, seamless and we had no complaints.

Excellent place to stay
We were a group of 6 friends and we had a great time. The house was lovely and well appointed. We had everything we needed. The indoor and outdoor gathering spaces were perfect for our group. The beds were comfortable. The location was great as it was an easy walk to the beach and a great place to walk around. We would definitely stay there again.
