We absolutely loved staying at this gorgeous well cared for Villa. The grounds were breathtaking. Birdwatching was almost as good as going to a national park. We were 3 families with 6 kids ranging from 10-18. We loved the house, pool, grounds, and farm. Joaquin, the grounds keeper was so friendly and kind even though he spoke minimal English. He proudly showed me around this majestical place. We were traveling all over the country. I wish we could have stayed here longer.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this home. It was centrally located to most activities which we greatly appreciated (15 min drive to La Fortuna town, Arenal volcano, Tabacon hot springs and Sky Trek Ziplining). The home (including all beds) was very comfortable with a great layout. Simply beautiful property and grounds. The pool with waterfall and jacuzzi was also a nice treat, although we had trouble with the pool filter which was not operating when we arrived. Other than that, we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this home. The fresh coconuts cut down by Jorge on our last day was a very nice gesture and he was very helpful throughout our stay.

This is a lovely, huge house that is perfect for large groups. The backyard/verandah is a feast for the eyes, the bedrooms are comfortable, a very nice sitting room for gatherings and the bathrooms are clean with hot water. Very convenient location, near a grocery store and not too far from all that La Fortuna has to offer. The staff is responsive, helpful and flexible. Jordy was critical to helping plan our excursions and transfers, Yadira made several delicious meals for our group and Juaquin gave us a wonderful tour of the property. Would recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing trip for a big group!

This truly is a beautiful property, both inside and out. We had a group of eight, six adults and two kids. The kids each had a room, and three couples had private bathrooms and spacious bedrooms. We highly recommend utilizing Yadi the chef! She prepared breakfast every day and dinner two out of the four nights we stayed. Everything was amazing and we all particularly loved the fish for dinner. Joaquin who maintains the beautiful grounds gave us all a great tour of the extended property, and knocked down coconuts for us to drink the juice. Yadi and Joaquin are delightful people and made us feel fight at home. This is a piece of heaven in a beautiful country. If you are looking for an amazing place to stay in the La Fortuna area look no further!

A well built and cared for house situated on an amazing property. This was the perfect vacation get away for my family. Everyone had their own room and bathroom, and we had plenty of places around the property to hang out, play games, or just relax with a beverage. The back veranda was a wonderful place to gather for meals, and the cool ACs in the bedrooms worked great. A short drive to all kinds of La Fortuna activities, and within walking distance to fresh fruit, groceries, restaurant. An amazing place to stay while in Costa Rica!

This was a beautiful property and the stay was amazing. Hands down the grounds man was one of the best people we have ever met! Had a mishap where my wallet was left and nobody notified me until I reached out, but otherwise all went perfectly. Such a beautiful property!

We had the best time at the villa. Yadi cooked the most amazing meals, Joaquin took some of our group on a tour of the grounds but on top of that he always seemed to appear right when we needed something, anticipating our every thought. We truly have no complaints, this was the perfect location and experience for our group of 8 adults.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the ranch villa! The backyard was the perfect place to destress with a ton of wildlife and beautiful gardens! The best decision was to have Yadira make us dinner the day of our arrival. We all had the fried talapia and it was the best fish we had on the whole trip.. highly recommend! We also had her cook us breakfast each morning which was amazing. The villa was in perfect location- close enough to walk to stores and an amazing restaurant (victorinos), and an easy drive to the hot springs and arenal volcano. We went on the Don Olivio chocolate/coffee tour which was only a 5 minute drive and a great experience! We could not say enough good things about the backyard and we highly recommend staying at this villa if you are planning a trip to La fortuna!

We had an excellent time celebrating my dad's 85th birthday. The location was central yet out of the way so it felt private. The staff was super attentive. We had a hickup where I left something at the house when I went back to San Jose and the staff had it messengered over. The food prepped by Yadira was outstanding as well! Thanks for a great time!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. The outdoors are what makes this property amazing, the interiors are nothing special. The backyard, the views, the nature around the property is just incredible. The only issue that we had was when we had NO water in the house one evening. It was quite a challenge but luckily we got that taken care later that night. The water pressure is an issue, so be mindful about that. The chef's food was not as good as other reviews, you have some great options close by or in La Fortuna. Overall, 5 stars just for the backyard!

Nine of us (two families of adults) had a wonderful time at the villa. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained by the ever helpful Joaquin, and the house is kept in great shape by Yadi (who is also an amazing cook). There are enough bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate a large group easily, and the outdoor living space was spectacular. Our group spread out between the large covered terrace and the pool area. The proximity to Victorino’s is a huge plus!

Family of 8 adults traveling to the Arenal Volcano region. We had the most memorable time! Be sure your touring schedule is not so tight you don't have time to just relax and enjoy all the home has to offer. The house was spacious for 8 adults and tastefully decorated as well as conveniently located in town and not too far at all from La Fortuna. The outdoor space was a highlight and throughly enjoyed by all. I loved getting up early in the morning and sitting under the covered porch just listening and watching all the birds. Sometimes it's the little unexpected experiences such as this that make trips most memorable. We enjoyed Yadira's meals everyday under the covered porch. Everything was always so fresh and tasty! The grounds are kept immaculate by Joaquin and the fresh coconuts were a real treat that he chopped down just for us! He also gave us a tour of the property where we sampled a few other fruits that I had never even heard of. Ranch Villa Arenal is truly a magical place. We hope to book another stay in the future!

This is a lovely property just outside of La Fortuna. Everyone was wonderful and the back yard is beyond beautiful. This is the perfect place for those who don't want a typical tourist experience. It is like living on a plantation in the jungle. We did not want to leave.

Property was beautiful. There were 6 of us and more than enough room. Check-in was easy, everything was clean and kept that way throughout our stay. Joaquin the gardener does not speak English, but very nicely found a sloth in the field behind us, took a picture to show us what he had found, then took us to it. Yadira made lasagna, quiche and empanadas which were all fantastic. Villa is just a short distance from La Fortuna, so was easy to get to everything we wanted to see. Would highly recommend.

I rented this for me and my adult children. This place was spacious and the outdoor spaces were amazing. Took advantage of sweet Yidiras cooking, she makes with love. The restaurant around the corner Victorinos (walking distance) was AMAZING. Chicken parmigiana was delicious. The town of La Fortuna is a quick drive. If you are visiting the Arenal area with a group this is an excellent choice and you won’t regret.

This place is truly out of this world.. entry to the property is like a 5 star resort.. when we checked in, Melanny was waiting for us, she was very sweet and helpful.. once we entered we found it very spacious.. stunning landscape with lush green vegetation.. pool and hot tub too.. very well maintained.. friendly staff always present .. we had their chef cook delicious dinner for our group .. highly recommended!!

Our group of 10 friends thoroughly enjoyed the property. We made arrangements to drop off our bags early and got a quick overview of the house. There was plenty of room for 5 couples. There were five bedrooms upstairs…one master with an en-suite. The other four bedrooms had two bathrooms between them. Beds we’re comfortable and the rooms were clean. Each has its own A/C. While the house is beautiful, the outdoor areas are outstanding. The pool was refreshing and the spa was large enough for a big group. Make sure to get a tour of the property with Joaquin. Ydrira was a great cook and prepared excellent breakfasts and dinners for our group. She even arranged to get a cake for a birthday celebration. The house is about 15 minutes from La Fortuna. One tour group picked us up at Victorinos which is just outside the main gate. It’s a great location for a large group and dining in was convenient, economical and delicious. Currently there are renovations underway to add a new master suite which will be beautiful. Don’t hesitate to book this piece of paradise for your stay near La Fortuna.

Beautiful house and property. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff. 10 minutes from La Fortuna but easy to access. Plenty of wildlife to view on the property. No wifi the 1st day and some construction going on during the stay but Joaquin and the staff were courteous about asking when we were going to be at the house to limit the noise. Great breakfast prepared at the house and other meals and services available.

Girls trip! Gorgeous home and property well maintained by caretaker Joaquin. Yadira made us a delicious lunch and breakfast. We were walking distance to supermarket and great restaurants. Felt safe. Highly recommend.

Excellent communication with Jorge. Pictures do not do the backyard justice. So beautiful and beyond our expectations! Super cold A/C in the bedrooms. Very educational tour of property with Joaquin. He is very kind and knowledgeable about the fauna and flora of the property. He left us cold coco’s in the fridge and a huge bowl of the best mangosteen! The property is meticulously kept. The last day of our stay we had the chef prepare us a delicious bbq meal that did not disappoint. We were sad to leave and would definitely stay again and recommend for families. A very good restaurant close enough to walk as well as stores and a fried chicken place my son frequented daily :).

The property was truly breathtaking and so special from the moment you enter. The bedrooms were very nice with great bathrooms including the one off the pool area. Day or night, the backyard was enchanting. Yadira was lovely and prepared amazing food and Joaquin was incredibly nice and brought us fresh, delicious food including coconuts by the pool. The villa is conveniently located to a market and additional restaurants. I would have enjoyed spending my entire vacation there and would definitely go back. Jorge was a great host and ensured we had everything we needed!

Our family stayed at this property for about a week. We ranged from 18 - 79 years old. The home is well maintained absolutely beautiful! We were all more than comfortable. Jorge the owner stayed in contact continually to see if we needed anything. Juaquin the groundskeeper keeps everything looking so beautiful, and he would bring us fresh fruit form the ranch. The location is perfect. It is close to all of the activities we wanted to do in the area. Grocery store and good restaurant within walking distance. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to cook in which we appreciate. We spent the 2nd part of our trip in Jaco, and wished we had stayed at this property the whole time instead.

The outside of the home is just absolutely gorgeous. You could just spend all your time on the back porch, by the pool and in the jacuzzi. We also love how close it was ( a very short walk) to Victorinos restaurant and to the supermarket. This was the perfect house for our party of 10.

Ranch Villa Arenal exceeded our expectations. The ground are expansive and absolutely gorgeous, the home has all the creature comfort one needs, and the staff took excellent care of us! Our group consisted of my husband and me, two 16 year old teen boys, and two fourteen year old girls. Everyone enjoys the pool and hot tub daily, the children enjoyed exploring the grounds, and Joaquin was always available to collect and open coconuts for the kids when they wanted them, from the trees on the property. He also brought us fresh fruits from the trees to enjoy poolside one day. Everyone loved them! Although watching live in the house next-door, we felt that are privacy was well respected, and as I mentioned, it was great to have him around. When checking in, guest select how often they wish to have housekeeping and the grounds/pool cleaned. You can have as much or as little as you like. Very different from the Vrbo that we are staying in currently down on the coast, where we were shown upon check-in where the cleaning supplies were and told that housekeeping was not included for a six day stay lol. Yadi (the housekeeper and cook) made a yummy dinner for us a few nights, and it was well worth it after a full day of white water rafting to have dinner on the terrace vs. going out for dinner. La Fortuna is a 10 to 15 minute drive and we went into town a few nights for dinner. The teens were able to walk from the house right around the corner to grab lunch or snacks from the local grocery. There is a wonderful sloth territory five minutes from the house where our guide showed us many sloths and animals, and the wildlife is completely respected and in its natural setting. We have traveled around the world and stayed in the most luxurious accommodations, and we absolutely loved Ranch Villa Arenal. I mentioned that we are currently on the coast for the latter half of our vacation. We are staying in a new, very modern home up on a hill with a gorgeous view of the ocean, a swimming pool, etc. I think the fact that the kids all said they loved Ranch Villa Arenal more says it all! We were honored to stay in the Quesada family’s home.

We can't say enough about The Ranch Villa. The house is gorgeous and the grounds are beyond amazing. The attention to detail in all the landscaping is next level and something you don't see at the even the nicest 5 star resorts. The property gives you a true feeling of Costa Rica at a much more personal level. The chef Yadi cooked amazing food and groundskeeper cut us fresh coconuts to drink and fresh Lychee and Mangosteen. I wish we xould have stayed longer. I can't recommend enough! Thank you Jorge and family for the opportunity to stay in your amazing family villa!

Our family of 9 did not want to leave this paradise for our next destination. This is definitely the place to stay for a large group to be together. It’s a 10 min drive to La Fortuna. The grounds keeper Joaquin is the sweetest, most helpful man ever! The housekeeper Estella kept the place sparkling. The kids were in the hot tub for 5 days straight- even in the pouring rain. Ample room for everyone to spread out and have space, and freezing AC in the bedrooms! We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The companies we used for activities (Desafio & Pure Trek) will drive out to pick you up as well as taxi’s if you don’t have a car.
