Das Cottage liegt in dem kleinen Örtchen Dooagh perfekt zwischen Keel und dem Keem Strand. Man kann von hier direkt ein paar kleine Wanderungen unternehmen und ist schnell an jedem anderen Ort auf der Insel. Das Cottage ist sehr gemütlich mit offenem Kamin (Torf steht zur Verfügung) hinter dem Haus grasen Pferde und in der Einfahrt wird man immer von zwei total lieben Hunden begrüßt. Vor dem Cottage gibt es eine Art Terrasse mit Sitzgelegenheit, von der aus man die Umgebung und auch das Meer sehen kann - total schön!!

The cottage was lovely and clean. It was easy to find and there was nothing that wasn't explained to us. Two double beds in one room and a double bed in the en suite. A travel cot was provided for our baby daughter which meant we didn't have to go to the bother of bringing our own or having to take it home with us. People have mentioned the dogs a lot on here. Someone said it might not be great for someone who doesn't like dogs. I'm not overly keen on other people's dogs but I must say, these were very well behaved. They wandered over for a quick pat now and again but were no bother. It was funny hearing them bark at the tyres when you started up the engine. I've stayed in a house on Achill where the dog tried to come inside, barked endlessly at the door and we had to keep telling the owner to come and get it. We also had to deal with opening the door to find it had 💩 on the step only for my daughter to walk it into the house. There WAS NONE of that with these doggies. They're quiet and respectful. Well trained.
Unfortunately there's no washer and drier, which for a family for a week isn't great but that's on me for not checking before I booked. My son is very disabled and goes through clothes very quickly. We handwashed in the shower and put on radiators. No bath was also not great for me because I'm disabled and get a lot of pain that only heat will help. Again, this is on me and I shouldn't have booked without checking. Nobody is obligated to provide a bath. One thing I will say, I had no neck dislocations or severe headaches whilst sleeping in the cottage. As soon as I came home they returned! So clearly my pillow is in need of an upgrade.
There was no vacuum cleaner or brush and we make a lot of crumbs with our toddler and younger son eating toast. I would have liked to clean as we went.

Nice small cottage comfortable for large small family. Great location to beaches and cliffs for wonderful Achil experience!
Must book property if you are looking for all near by experiences.
Spiders and web, bit of scary for kids, but ok to clean .

Location was great. Bedrooms were comfortable. Kitchen had all that you need for self catering. Lounge was comfortable. Nice to have a peat fire.
Worth knowing that the cottage sleeps 6, but there are 2 bedrooms.
