We were in Hermanus in order to travel to Stanford to see the gold award winning exhibit by Leon Kluge in Stanford which was only a 25 minute drive from the accommodation. We were greeted by Phillippa who handed over the keys and did a walk through with us so that we knew where everything was and how it worked. The space consisted of an open plan lounge/dining and kitchen which was tastefully furnished. Comfortable sofa to watch tv (with full DSTV package which was great) and two individual seats with blankets and scatter cushions completed the lounge area. Loved having meals at the round dining table and the kitchen was well laid out, clean and amply stocked with everything you could need. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles and each had their own en-suite shower which was much appreciated after a long day out adventuring. The bathrooms were clean, spacious and well ventilated with windows which I loved. My family and I particularly loved the little balcony which overlooks the owners beautifully manicured garden and the majestic mountains to watch the sunrise with our early morning coffee or afternoons for sundowners. The property is situated in a lovely leafy neighbourhood making it ideal for morning and afternoon runs/walks and peaceful enough to hear and observe the many birds. Very close to the waterfront, restaurants and other amenities making it super convenient to either walk or drive. We will definitely be back as it was fantastic value for money.
Wifi was a little sketchy at times but other than that it worked just great. I struggled to get DSTV up on the tv but thankfully my husband managed it without me having to use chatgpt.

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our three day stay. It was very close to the town and the owner’s daughter who managed our stay, Phillipa was so friendly and helpful
Though it wasn’t an issue for us in particular, the WiFi was a little slow and there was no option to login to our Netflix on the TV so we were limited to just DSTV

Owner was lovely; easy to contact and answered any queries.
Beds were comfortable.
There was no heating. Was beginning of winter so I had to wear two jumpers all the time or sit under a blanket. Would have been good if they had a little heater there.
Was woken by a dog barking early in the morning. Also in the double bedroom, the toilet is very close to the bed. Only room for a sliding door which was a little noisy when pulling in the night. The loo was so close to the bed, that I was conscious of weeing too loudly in the night and waking my husband!! Hee hee.
We were only there one night and we had no power. There were workmen working in the area but the owner had missed the notification so wasn't prepared for this happening. Went to bed early as we had no light and it was so cold.
