Among the best hostels I've ever been to. Staff was remote but very friendly. Everything was clean, there was a big spacious locker included for free, and you could wash your clothes (for NT$40).
Paying in cash (exact amount) was quite annoying. But that's about my only issue.

Everything, clean and cozy. Beds are large and good. I arrived late for the check-in and I didn’t have the exact cash to pay. The host let me in and allowed me to stay. I paid with the exact cash the next day during checkout. They are very kind and wonderful people.
They should accept cards as form of payment.

the room and facilities are clean, even it is a remote hostel not hard to stay. accessible to convenient stores, the location near in Wenhua Night Market and few walk to Train Station. Great value of money for a solo traveler like me..
I'm a foreign worker here in Taiwan, living in a dormitory type so I know and feels how to move silent in this kind of hostel.. After a long day of travel/leisure around Chiayi then go back to the hostel amazed it was cleaned and restocked but you cannot see any cleaning staff...good job!!!!
