I usually don’t write reviews but this time I’ll make an exception. There’s a lot of good things to say about this little house (see the other reviews) but there’s also some things that’s useful to know for future guests:
The text mentions and the pictures (19-24) show the so called pool house with a double bed. If you book the house for 2 people, you will not get access to this separate building. It comes with an extra cost. Nice to know, if you are not a couple or for other reasons want to sleep separately.
Even with the entire hood of the car ON the road, you can’t see anything from inside the car when you exit the property. It’s mandatory to have a person on the road helping you to exit down the steep road. Not for the faint hearted!
The pool was (as other reviewers mention) very cold. We visited in the end of January and hoped for a little dip … but no. It was dirty and it looked like a chlorine lock was happening in the water: milky/hazy water.
The pellet oven needs some attention and planning during your stay and still it will not heat the house evenly through the rooms. It is hard to reach the exact temperature you wish for as the thermostat is somehow living it’s own life.

Everything about the property is amazing, we absolutely loved the location and every single facility within the house has been supplied. We can't wait to come back! (Will let you know about both bedrooms next time as we aren't a couple - no matter)

Traumhafter Urlaub in einem 1A Ferienhaus
Die Anreise war problemlos, dank der Beschreibung des Vermieters wurde das Ferienhaus sofort gefunden. Dank Schlüsselsafe war keine Übergabe an uns notwendig, damit mussten wir auch auf niemanden warten. (das war schon manchmal problematisch). Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, hat eine vollfunktionale Küche die wir sehr gern genutzt haben. Immerhin haben wir bis auf wenige Ausnahmen immer selbst gekocht 😊 . Küche und Wohnbereich sind offen und haben einen Ausgang in den Garten. Das daneben befindliche Schlafzimmer ist gemütlich und lässt sich vor allem durch Jalousien schließen. Damit verhindert man eine übermäßige Raumerwärmung. Das Doppelbett war sehr gut, ich habe lange nicht mehr so gut geschlafen. In der Nacht ist hier, trotz der Straße welche unterhalb des Hauses vorbei führt, absolute Ruhe! Das danebenliegende Bad mit Dusche, Badewanne!, Doppelwaschbecken und WC ist geräumig und es ist alles da was man benötigt.
Über den Ausgang zum Garten erreicht man einen kleinen Barbereich. Hier kann man auch an kühleren Abenden geschützt sitzen. Einige Abende haben wir es uns unter dem stylischen Terassenstrahler gemütlich gemacht.
Es gibt Sonnenliegen und eine Sitzgruppe (die könnte man mal erneuern 😊, da sie in der Sonne schon stark gelitten hat). Das Highlight ist dann wohl der riesige Salzwasserpool. Hier kann man völlig ungestört von fremden Blicken baden. Das gilt übrigens für den gesamten Garten. Man hat wirklich Ruhe und keine Nachbarn, die einem beim Sonnenbaden zuschauen.
Was man unbedingt benötigt, ist ein Mietwagen. Andernfalls ist das Haus eher schwer zu erreichen, vor allem wenn man wie wir als Selbstversorger einlaufen muss. Die Auffahrt ist sehr steil und für nicht so geübte Autofahrer vielleicht etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, wenngleich ich keine Probleme hatte. Das Auto parkt man unmittelbar vor dem Haus, innerhalb des abgeschlossenen Grundstücks. Damit sind Gepäck und Einkäufe ohne große Wege ins Haus verbracht und das Auto auch sicher geparkt.
Den Ort Santa Brigida erreicht man auch zu Fuß in etwa 20 Minuten. Hier kann man am Abend auch mal Essen gehen. Der Weg dahin ist zwar etwas mühsam, aber machbar.
Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und reagiert zeitnah auch per WhatsApp. Die leere Gasflasche des Terassenstrahlers wechselte er wie gewünscht kurzfristig aus.
Fazit – wir können das Ferienhaus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und haben es uns als Domizil für einen weiteren Ur

Bewertung Juli 2 Wochen . Ein wunderschönes Anwesen mit voller Ausstattung . Das einzigste was uns gefehlt hat war die Sonne 🌞 und ein beheizter Pool . Ein Leihwagen benötigt man . Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in der Nähe und alles andere auch super zu erreichen . Ein toller Vermieter der bei fragen immer ein offenes Ohr hat und schnell antwortet . Wir kommen wieder 👍🏼 Empfehlenswert ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Kleinod in den Bergen
Wer Abseits der Touristenströme unterwegs sein will und seine Ruhe genießen möchte, ist in der Casa Gecko sehr gut aufgehoben. Optimaler Service, sehr sympathische Vermieter und extrem „responsive“ (immer schnelle Antworten und Hilfe - in allen Lebenslagen). Die Umgebung, der Pool - alles wunderschön gelegen und sehr gepflegt. Mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und es gibt wirklich für jede Kleinigkeit ein Gerät in der Küche (fast besser als bei mir zu Hause 😃). Es blieb‘ wirklich kein Wunsch offen. Man muss bedenken, dass in den Bergen das Wetter anders als an der Küste ist, aber da weiß man ja. Ich weiß gar nicht, was ich alles noch sagen soll - denn es war einfach perfekt! Selten, dass es so etwas gibt. Ach ja- wenn es dann doch mal kalt ist, dann isst ein Pelletofen da und es geht schnell und vor allem auch eine schöne Wärme. Und den kleinen Anstieg/Anfahrt zum Grundstück schafft man auch, spätestens am 2ten Tag hat man sich daran gewöhnt. Wie gesagt: absolut zu empfehlen!

Tolle Casa mit hohem Wohlfühlfaktor
Wir konnten eine tolle Woche Anfang März in der Casa Gecko verbringen.
Die Casa war noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Es war alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war hervorragend und unkompliziert.
Die Casa liegt sehr praktisch. Man ist in kurzer Zeit überall auf der Insel.
Zum Einkaufen sind wir nach Santa Brigada gefahren, was nur ein paar Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt ist. Ein Mietwagen ist vorteilhaft.
Der Pelletofen im Haus war super für die etwas kälteren Abende.
Leider konnten wir den Pool wegen dem Wetter nicht nutzen.
Allerdings kommen wir gerne in den Sommermonaten wieder.
Alles in allem eine tolle Unterkunft in der man entspannt Urlaub machen kann.

All in all a lovely break away, however some finishing touches to the villa would make all the difference.

Sehr Gut und charmant ausgestattetes Ferienhaus mit viel Platz, schönem Pool und guter Ausgangspunkt auch für Wanderungen. Auf der Höhe ist der Pool zu dieser Jahreszeit allerdings nur zum Eisbaden geeignet 😊�
Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Alles sehr unkompliziert.

Wir verlebten wunderschöne Tage mit unseren Enkelkindern in einem geschmackvollen, wohnlichen Haus und in einer ruhigen Umgebung. Es war toll!!

Schönes Zuhause für zwei Wochen abwechslungsreichen Urlaub!
Die Strecke vom Flughafen zum Haus war kurzweilig und einfach zu finden. Die Einfahrt ist sehr steil, aber man gewöhnt sich schnell daran. Dort angekommen wurden wir direkt von der Frau des Hausbesitzers empfangen - sie zeigte uns das Haus und erklärte die wichtigsten Dinge. Infomappe liegt ebenfalls mehrsprachig bereit. Es war alles sehr sauber und gepflegt - es sieht genau so aus wie auf den Fotos. Der Pool ist in Realität noch schöner und wird wöchentlich gereinigt. Die Küche ist sehr gut mit allem ausgestattet. Das Bett ist sehr bequem.
Die Straße die am Haus verläuft ist meist nicht störend. Zum Feierabendverkehr oder bei lauten Motorrädern ist es etwas deutlicher hörbar - aber nicht schlimm. Nachts komplett still dort.
Die Gegend ist schön - man ist schnell in den Bergen zum wandern und auch schnell am Meer. Haben die Insel erkundet und sind insgesamt 1000km in 2 Wochen gefahren - so vielfältig dort! Mietwagen dringend erforderlich. Einkaufsläden ebenfalls in unterschiedlicher Größe in der Nähe.
Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und können uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! :-) Danke Herr Buch für den netten Kontakt und ihre hilfsbereite Art!

Urlaub in Santa Brigida
Das Objekt ist wirklich schön. Sehr gute Ausstattung. Top Küche. Der Pool war ein Traum. Allerdings nur in der warmen Jahreszeit zu geniessen. Natürlich gibt es immer etwas,was einen stört. Das ist aber bei jedem Menschen unterschiedlich. Den einen stört die Fliege an der Wand und andere sehen das als natürlich an. Das Grundstück liegt direkt an einer Strasse. Da ist es am Wochende schon mal etwas lauter, aber das hat man zu hause auch.

Schmuckes Haus mit Pool im kühlen Norden
Das schmucke Haus ist wirklich sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Kontrast von alter Bausubstanz und moderner Einrichtung hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Wohnzimmer mit seinen tollen Ledersofas ist gemütlich, die Küche mit allen Raffinessen ausgestattet und das Badezimmer ein Traum. Die Gastgeber bereiten ein herzliches Willkommen. Danke für den Obstkorb und den wunderschönen Blumenstrauß!
Leider liegt Santa Brigida in den Bergen und ist daher kein Garant für Frühlingssonne oder -wärme. Regen ab nachmittags bei 16/17 Grad ließen Ende März kaum Draußensitzen im gepflegten Garten zu. Schade um den sensationellen Pool, der mit 14 Grad zum Baden viel zu kalt war. Wer Ruhe liebt und gern abseits der Touristenströme seinen Urlaub verbringt, ist in der Casa Gecko gut aufgehoben - bis auf den kläffenden Hund, der zur Grundausstattung jedes Hauses in der Nachbarschaft zu gehören scheint. ;-)
Da kein Geschäft wirklich fußläufig zu erreichen ist, ist ein Mietwagen dringend angeraten. In wenigen Minuten ist man in Santa Brigida, wo es Supermärkte mit guter Käse- und Fleischtheke sowie Restaurants und am Wochenende einen Bauernmarkt gibt. Ebenfalls in wenigen Minuten ist man auf der Autobahn, um die Insel zu erkunden. Es liegen im Haus Mappen mit umfangreichem Informationsmaterial zur Insel, Ausflugszielen sowie Wanderkarten bereit.

Ein wirklich charmantes Kleinod
Wir haben uns einfach wohl gefühlt, ein sehr schön eingerichtetes Haus mit einer bezauberten Umgebung. Wirklich zu empfehlen.

Oase der Ruhe zentral im Norden gelegen
Bewußt haben wir ein kleines einzelstehendes Haus mit kleinem Garten gebucht. Es sollte im Norden weg vom Südtrubel liegen, nah an den Bergen für die geplanten Wanderungen und dennoch schnell erreichbar zu den Golfplätzen. Wir haben es gefunden „ Casa Gecko „. Großes Wohnzimmer mit Essküchenbereich. Schöne Eckcouchgarnitur und Esstisch. Bücherregale und vor allem der Pelletofen mit sichtbaren Feuer verbreiteten am Abend Gemütlichkeit. Gute Matratzenqualität der Betten ist zu erwähnen. Das Bad großzügig mit zwei Waschbecken, großer Dusche und eingelassener Badewanne runden das Ambiente ab. Der Gartenbereich mit überdachter Terrasse und Pool ist sehr schön gestaltet. Diese Nutzungsmöglichkeit blieb uns verwehrt, weil der November 2018 nicht nur Nässe und Kälte ganz Europa brachte, sondern leider auch den Kanaren. Unsere Wanderungen im nahen Gebirgsbereich waren traumhaft. Die Topografie ist dort einzigartig. Die Golfplätze im Süden gewohnt gut designt.
Die Eigentümer waren im Vorfeld unseres Aufenthaltes immer ansprechbar und standen uns auf Fragen beratend zur Seite. Dies gilt gleichermaßen auch für den Aufenthalt - zwei Wochen. Ansonsten hielten sie sich angenehm zurück. Man hatte das Gefühl des „ Eigentums „.
Das Anwesen kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Tolle Ausstattung
Die Küche lies keine Wünsche offen. Die Lage ist Ideal zum "Auto" oder zu Fuß wandern. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben alles für uns super vorbereitet. Es steht für den Winter sogar ein Pelletheizofen bereit. Im Oktober war es dieses Jahr für uns leider zu kalt, um in dem riesigen Pool zu baden. Es gibt dort sogar Geckos, die man beobachten kann.

Gemütliches Haus in den Bergen
Wir haben Anfang September zehn sehr schöne Tage im Casa Gecko verbracht. Das Haus wirkt schon allein durch die dunklen Holzfußböden recht gemütlich und ist ansprechend eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung ließ nichts vermissen: ein bequemes Bett, eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, ein geräumiges Bad (mit tiefergelegter Badewanne und Blick ins Grüne), Internet und TV mit deutschen Sendern. Was braucht man mehr für einen erholsamen Urlaub als ein erfrischendes Bad im wirklich sehr großen (und tiefen) Pool, ein Sonnenbad im blühenden und grünenden Garten, ein Lesestündchen unter einer schattigen Palme und abends bei Sonnenuntergang Tapas und Rotwein an der eigenen Poolbar? Und das alles weit ab von den Touristenhochburgen im Süden der Insel. Ein Mietwagen ist allerdings empfehlenswert, wenn man mehr von Gran Canaria sehen möchte. Das Haus liegt verkehrstechnisch günstig. In 10 Minuten ist man auf der Autobahn und von dort schnell in alle Richtungen gefahren. Etwas mehr Zeit braucht es für die kurvigen Strecken in den Bergen. Belohnt wird man dafür mit atemberaubenden Aussichten, grandiosen Landschaften und dramatischen Küstenabschnitten. Lobenswert ist auch die ausführliche Infomappe, die im Haus ausliegt. Darin werden alle Fragen zum Haus und zur Umgebung sehr umfassend beantwortet. Zu beachten ist, dass man wirklich sehr naturnah wohnt, was auch mal überraschenden Besuch im Haus mit sich bringen kann.

Tolles Haus
Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment sehr willkommen in diesem großzügig ausgestatten Haus gefühlt. Das Poolhaus war perfekt für den einwöchigen Besuch. Der große Pool wurde ausgiebig genutzt. Meget privat - men vi så ikke meget til værtsparret.
Det er jo i bjergene i 500 meters højde. Derfor koldt om aftenen. Meh huset var udstyret med en dejlig pilleovn. Poolen kan ikke bruges - kun 14 gr.
Huset havde alt hvad du behøver kontra en ferielejlighed som ofte er meget minimalistisk især hvad angår køkkenet.
