No need to walk or ride a bike to the step out the front door. This log home is 100% custom made and decorated in a nautical/ outdoor theme to enjoy the full Up North experience. Sunrises that words cannot describe, and memories to last a lifetime. Walking distance to all of downtown. Walking distance to restaurants, ice cream, bars and other attractions and events. Stone fireplace. 3 Bedrooms plus a loft that has 3 single beds and a trundle (twin bed plus twin pull out). Grill in the garage and patio furniture. Large attached garage provided. Plenty of parking available in driveway or along the road. Available for weekly, monthly or seasonal renting.

The log home is gorgeous, spacious and clean. The setting is perfect— right next to Oscoda Beach Park and town. We loved hearing the waves from Lake Huron and watching the spectacular sunrises. The host was friendly and responsive. We’ll definitely return!

We loved every minute of our stay in this beautiful log cabin. We just left today and I already want to come back! The host is great with communication and the house has everything AND MORE that you could possibly need. The beds were very comfortable, the upstairs loft for the kids was great, and the house was very spacious. Hoping to book again next year!

I almost never write reviews, especially negative ones, but I want to share our experience because my husband and I felt a bit duped by all the five star reviews of this property. The location could not be better and the host was great. We found Mark to be friendly, responsive, and helpful. We were disappointed in the cabin itself, however. It wasn’t clean. The counters had old food on them, the floors were gritty with dirt, there were cobwebs on the walls, there were dead bugs suspended in cobwebs in the light fixture directly above the dining room table and covering both skylights, and many of the cabinet and door knobs were sticky with grime. With the amount charged in cleaning fees, I personally don’t see any reason for the lack of cleanliness. The walls in the upstairs bathroom are covered in what we believed to be mold (there’s some in the downstairs bathroom too, but not as much) and it smells. We nearly left right after arriving but decided to stick it out for at least one night after we’d spent so much on the rental and traveled so far to get there. We’d booked three nights but left after the first night, once we saw the upstairs bathroom. We didn’t feel comfortable staying there with our daughter.

The location was perfect as it is across the street from the park and beach as well as walking distance to downtown. Mark was great with answering questions prior to our arrival as well as while we were there. We had a great time!

There was so much to do within walking distance from the property: restaurants, ice cream, shopping, and a movie theater! The home is a beautiful custom built log home. Many amenities and necessities were supplied that made our trip so much easier with 6 young kids and our stay more comfortable. The only thing I would suggest are some extra blankets stored, as we had some unseasonably chilly weather for our stay. I would love to book this vacation property on a yearly basis as we all had SO much fun! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Mark has the perfect house and location for our family vacation. The kids (3-6 yo) loved the loft with the 4 beds! The house was cozy but with lots of room for the 10 of us. The beach and play area were so close and we enjoyed walking the couple blocks to the ice cream shop every night. We look forward to returning next year!!

My husbands grand parents built a cottage on Cedar Lake in Oscoda 70+ years ago and my husbands family of 9 kids vacationed there all there lives and we also vacationed there with our families every year. When she passed unfortunately the cottage had to be sold. We used to bring our kids to the beach and playground right in front of the house whenever we were up there. We always admired your house and my sister in law and I said we would love to see the inside and that it would be so fun to have a place there. Well we have had our first of many vacations there! Booked for next year already! We have rented many different places through VRBO in different areas of the US and this by far surpassed any stay we have had.

Everything was as described. House is a great location across from the beach and walking distance to a souvenir store, ice cream shop, couple of restaurants, and pharmacy/liquor store. The beach was never crazy crowded. Owner was very responsive to small issue we had - called within a minute of sending him a text.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I was very concerned about the lack of air conditioning in August and packed fans. Didn't need them at all as the house fan setup made the place borderline chilly (which I prefer).

Plenty of linens, kitchen equipment , seating & lounging areas, bedrooms very adequate& stocked . Location is the best ., short boardwalk walk to shores of Lake Huron inside Oscoda Park.. with bath house, playground & a beautiful view & generous beach.. Walking distance to ice cream stores, pub, souvenir shopping, coffee shop, movie theater.. Close to fast food, grocery store.., hardware store.. Great location…

Also it could use an upgrade of the grill (we grilled in the park after the first night) and the bath towels. All in all, it was a good stay.
