Summary:
A prestigious late gothic palace in the centre of the Canal Grande route. The area of San Samuele and Santo Stefano has been traditionally the residential space of the city where all the most influential families have established their main residence. Being equally distant from San Marco and Rialto, it represents the perfect location from which they have exercised their power and managed their interests in more than 1000 years of history.
The Space:
The first settlements in the area date back to the 10th century and the first palaces were built in the 12th century.
Palazzo Garzoni Moro has been built in the 15th century and it has been restored completely in 2017. It is composed by a large residence facing the Canal Grande and privately owned and 8 apartments in the rear part of the Building all facing the private courtyard, the nearby canal and the Venetian roofs. Despite being close to most attractions and tourist’s routes for the Guggenheim Foundation, Accademia di Belle Arti, Museo Franchetti, Palazzo Giustiniani and Palazzo Fortuny it is extremely quiet. The proximity to Salizada San Samuele, Calle della Mandola and Campo San Maurizio give the chance to the guest to be also close to so many shops, restaurants and the famous antique open market of San Maurizio. Literally 5 minutes’ walk to “Palazzina G” famous luxury Hotel and close to the “Bauer”, key spots for the exclusive night life in Venice, allow the guest to feel and be in the centre of anything that matters and happen in town, especially, during the Film Festival and the Biennale of Arts and Architecture.
The building has been finely restored with easy to use and effective home automation appliances, floor heating, lift, central air conditioning; top and latest design kitchens and bathrooms.
Guest Access:
The Clemente apartment is on the third floor and, as all apartments, can be reached with a lift or stairs. It is a large open space with wooden large beam trusses on the ceiling. Very warm and comfortable it has been designed dividing the day to the night area with a large panel. This has allowed the architect to generate in one portion of the space two bathrooms and two bedrooms, the bathrooms are full and provided with shower cabins. The bedrooms are one double and one single, all with windows facing the Venetian roofs and extremely bright. The living area has a kitchen that opens to the living room and dining table; there is also a comfortable structure for enjoying breakfast or a drink sitting on stools. The 42” flat screen can be enjoyed from 2 very large and deep sofas; the table host 4 dining guests. The apartment has floor heating and it is all remotely managed by an easy and effective house automation system at guest’s disposal. Internet is wireless. This apartment can be the perfect retreat for a couple or for a small family that wants to enjoy all the comforts and space in a luxury environment.

Communication prior to check in great. We had them set up a gondola fr the airport and while expensive worth it as we were jet lagged with multiple bags. The host meet us at the docks. Super smooth. It is located in an idea location close to the water taxi and restaurants. Apartment is beautiful and clean. Updated and comfortable. Important to note: mosquitos are not a joke. Cannot turn on air before April 15 or something like that so while heat was off its top floor unit and was really hot at night. Don’t open windows! At our request they delivered two fans which helped. The beds were a bit uncomfortable and pillows were bit hard. Wish they had more in the closet or something. That would be the only downfall from the apartment.

My teenage daughter and I stayed at this apartment and it was a very modern and nice apartment for us. Everything worked great and apartment included everything listed. It was only a few minute walk from the Sant Angelo boat stop. It was about a 6 minute walk to a super marche. We found it a good location. The only issue we had was with the key to the front door to get into the apartment area. It was very difficult to use and often took us a few minutes of trying to get in. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Venice.

This place is beautiful. We were late coming in due to flight delays (10pm), but was still met by a representative at the dock the water taxi dropped us at. He was very kind and helped with our bags. He took the time to explain everything to us and even helped set up a tour of a glass blowing factory on Murano for us. The apartment is on the top floor, but there is a small elevator if needs be.The washing machine/dryer combo was a great added feature and saved us having to find laundry services. Was a great place for our family to relax and we would definitely recommend this place.
