Very warm welcome from Aurelie (sorry if this is spelt incorrectly!) who politely showed me my room and the facilities and explained the dinner options and breakfast set up. The offered her WhatsApp number for any questions I may have had during my stay. The room was a delight - very clean and well decorated in a warm, wood themed design. The room I had (called Gentiane?) had a wonderful view from the double, fully opening window. Wooden shutters are available to the outside of it - but I would recommend leaving them open for the incredible views of the stars if you get a clear night. The bed was comfy and I couldn't think of anything I'd need in addition to what was provided. There is no bath, but the shower offers good power and temperature control. Towels and toiletries were provided. I absolutely loved the remote location - and would 100% stay here again given the chance. The town isn't TOO far away - I managed to get some great pizza in a roughly 15 minute drive. I didn't sample the on site dinner (as I am a fussy eater!) but the breakfast was fresh, tasty and efficient!
The hotel itself was exactly as described and I cannot recommend it enough. If I HAD to write 'negatives' I would say that there are two main routes to get here - one is down a gravel road that really is quite difficult to manoeuvre on (subject to your car of course) and my sat-nav routed me this way, rather than the much easier road from La Verrerie.
