The beds were very comfortable compared to other hotels we stayed at in Japan, and the bathroom was spacious. The hotel was also close to many of Kyoto’s main attractions and was affordable for the location.
The room was smaller than we expected, and it was a little difficult to organize our luggage.

Quiet, clean, well appointed room, with good quiet air conditioning. Nice breakfast, and a good efficient bar/kitchen with plenty of vegetarian choices.
A gym would have been nice (though for the price, this was a good deal).
Breakfast options were good, but I would have liked more fruit and/or oatmeal.

Very friendly and easy for English speaking travellers.
Has a restaurant and bar service. A nice place to sit and relax at the end of the day.
The hotel is small but very friendly and central to all things. Easy access to bus and 10 min walk to Kyoto. Not near the train. Train is about 10 min walk.
Lots more f foreigners stay at this hotel.
My room was very small although I booked a single room.
