Welcoming and amiable staff; clean and spacious rooms, all facility - close to nature

Very nice location to visit Uxmal. Perfect to be at the temples early before the tourists are there
Why are all drinks and food 10% more expensive ?
Also not so friendly personnel

Lovely hotel that is extremely convenient for visiting the Uxmal archaeological site - it is a 2 minute walk. The ruins are amazing - we much preferred them to Chichen Itza, as they were so much quieter.
The room was beautiful - two large double beds on the ground floor and a large king size on the mezanine. Nice decor with a thatched roof. Two nice swimming pools. We booked on the Landrover experience which was very good, providing a tour of the whole area where produce is grown, the ruins of the original Hacienda and a climb up the viewing tower.
The food in the restaurant was a little over-priced.

If you want to visit Uxmal this is the place to stay. We had a very large, comfortable room, with good AC. The hotel restaurant is simply fantastic, on top of being very reasonably priced. Make sure to visit the nearby chocolate museum and animal refuge as well.
We stayed only for one night, and in that short time there were two brief power outages. The hotel pool is so shallow that it's actually difficult to swim in, but it would probably be great for kids.

Nice activities around, attentive staff and overall great location in the middle of the archeological site.
The plantation Land Rover ride is super nice experience, highly recommended.
The breakfast is great.

We had booked a "Royal Mayan Bungalow including ride in historic Land Rover" and expected beds with mosquito nets, the room was not like the one in the booking pictures but it was ok but no nets upon the bed. Room has open window flaps with nets in front. Refrigerator in the room. Bathroom was large with shower in the tub. Staff during stay was very friendly and eager. Jeep ride is about the plantation area, not to Mayan sights, but I can recommend this.
Disappointing was the customer service after our stay: we had left a gold ring with dianmant (wedding ring) in the room upon departure and although the first hotel-feedback was the following day: "the ring was found" then completely broke off all communication from the hotel to us, no response or reaction for weeks to our mails - although we wanted to pay all the costs of transportation. No customer service page, no possibility to contact them by phone - this is all very disappointing for such a hotel of this class. - Now, 6 weeks after the stay, we still have not heard anything - very disappointing!

I loved the huge pools, and the close proximity to Uxmal!! It felt like a jungle garden of Eden

that location is ideal for visiting the ruins. You can walk to them. And the Palapa bar and restaurant is very relaxing and so is the pool. The grounds are beautiful. Staff was very helpful.
The 1+ hour tour of the Hacienda in a land rover seems like an over priced add on designed to extract money from tourists.

The location at the entrance to the Uxmal ruins was amazing. The pool and grounds are wonderful. Bird watching was great nearby.
The rooms facing the restaurant aren’t private and can be loud.

Breakfast service hit and miss. Depending on how many and who the staff were

The included breakfast was fantastic. We did the tour of the plantation in the vintage Rover and we really loved that whole experience. Our guide Rex went above and beyond and you could see his genuine love for this place and this land.
The restaurant was expensive (though very tasty).

we really liked the location of the hotel, its in front of the entry of Uxmal pyramid site.the pools of the hotel are big and nice.... The hotel Has 2 pools the kids enjoyed them when we arrived in the afternoon, the style of the hotel is nice is you like pure Maya Style Hotels.
The rooms smell humidity, we visited few before accepting the first one they gave us...the bathroom was approximately clean and partially working, the tube was off and the shower was really slow in terms of falling water....simply the douche was so dirty that the water was hardly passing trough.
the restaurant is insanely over price ! the food is horrible... we ordered pasta as we are veggie and we got pasta after 2min the preparation was super fast....why ? because the pasta were already cooked before our order, the sauce was old and not tasty, beside that the person in charge of the restaurant was quite nervous about my questions about the food etc... I would not recommend the restaurant and the hotel is over priced....

The location is 10/10. It could not be more convenient for visiting Uxmal first thing in the morning before the crowds arrive and the weather gets too hot. The hotel buildings are attractive and in keeping with the jungle surroundings. We liked the rustic chalet but it might not be to everyone's taste. Weirdly empty when we stayed in late July - there cant have been more than 20 guests in the entire hotel. But this meant for a very quiet stay and we had the pool to ourselves.
The main downside of the hotel is that the remote location means that you are most likely going to want to eat here in the evening. The restaurant is not completely terrible, but the food is overpriced for the quality, and the lack of guests when we stayed meant the atmosphere was flat. (Other options for eating are the restaurant at the Uxmal site, which we did not try and is only open during the day, or driving to Muna or Santa Elena.) The bathroom in our chalet was a bit tired. If you stay here make sure you bring mossie spray.

Rooms are a bit dark.

Great property and pools. We enjoyed our stay, but the rooms are really tired and need of a makeover.

It was really good location, amazing breakfast with fresh local fruits, 2 pools and overall nice traditional appearance.
only slight minus was that almost nobody could speak English.

Location is great
Air conditioning units couldn’t be set to the desired temperature

The location overlooking the ruins, the beautiful rooms, large balcony overlooking the pool, jet tub and friendly staff. King size bed and all amenities in the room.
The cocktails were not up to par for any bar/ restaurant. The drinks were weird and tasteless. The bartender did not know how to make cocktails including simple daringly like rum and coke, gin and tonic and margaritas. The bed was large but hard as a rock. For some that is good, for others, not.

the location was great and large room with 2 beds and quiet

The hotel is located at the feet of the archeological area, mystical sounds at night make you feel in maya mood. Very enjoyable. Good margaritas and good food. The room is large and clean.
we enjoyed a lot the swimming pool after the visit. thanks

This is luxury in the jungle. At the entrance to the ruins at Uxmal.
Part of the Uxmal ruins were closed which was disappointing, including some of the nearby sites we drove to. Ticket to Uxmal ruins were only good for one entrance. It would be nicer if you were allowed to leave and return later, but in the same day.

Wonderful hotel. The location is right next to the archeological site, The cabins are beautifully designed, comfortable and clean. Gardens and pool area are magnificent. Food at the restaurant was delicious and the best of all was the amazing service. The crew at the restaurant managed by Daniel made our stay even better. They really go out of their way to surprise you.
