Jade Ohana is named for the unique vines with turquoise jade flowers. The Ohi'a tree is native to Hawaii and its red lehua blossoms are celebrated in chants and songs. Also on the one acre are hibiscus, ti, bromeliads, avocado, orange, tangerine, passion fruit, rainbow bark eucalyptus, and more. There are numerous fragrant flowers Puakinikini, Plumeria, Jasmine, Kula gardenia, and Tiare gardenia .
Hawaii is unique for its trade winds and on this east side, it is like Camelot, "it rains at night and shines in the day."
Jade Ohana Is one bedroom with queen size bed, and bathroom with tub and shower. It is on ground level with private parking and entrance, in my two story home. There Is A Lovely Patio With Views Of The Garden And Ohia Woodland. The floors Are Lauhala mats, (traditionally made and used By Polynesian Cultures,)and bamboo, and tile. The Bedroom, Light And Airy, Has Windows On Two Side With Views To The Gardens. The Bathroom Has Tub/shower, Bathroom Towels, And Beach Towels And Beach Mats. Wi-fi, Hawaiian Books Are Provided. Also a bag of Coffee And Fresh Local Grown Fruit Are For Guests When They Arrive. The Kitchen Is Equipped With A Full Refrigerator, Microwave, 4 burner gas stove, Toaster Oven, Coffee Pot, Blender, Dishes, Glasses, and Salt And Sugar.)
On Sundays The Unique Maku'u Farmer's Market is a Few Miles From Us. I has Lots Of Fresh Local Grown Produce, Flowers, Food Vendors, Exotic Clothes, Unique Local Crafted Jewelry And Musicians Providing Music While You Sit At Long Tables Having Breakfast Or Lunch. The Quaint "old Time" Village of Pahoa Has Lots Of Great Little Restaurants, Thai, Mexican, Italian, And Kaleo's -a Charming Gourmet Bistro Featuring Live Music. Also a second Kaleo close by on Orchidland drive.
In Hilo You Can Visit Beautiful Liliuokalani Park, Coconut Island, protected lagoons, a black Sand Beach for Snorkeling, Museums, Art Galleries, the Palace Theatre, and Lots Of Good Restaurants. Farmers Markets Are Very Popular Here And Can Be Found In Hilo, Keaau And Pahoa. In Hilo, The major Farmer’s Market days in Hilo are on Saturdays And Wednesdays.
