The location is excellent.
Access from the airport by train was great. Close to Museum, St James and Gadigal (Metro) rail stations. Close to excellent shopping (Queen Victoria Building), Cultural precinct (Art Gallery / Museum). A leg stretch to Central Station. A good walk to tourist attractions at Darling Harbour. Easy access to The Rocks Circular Quay Opera House precincts.
Plenty of nearby convenience stores cafes etc.
The room was compact but fine for the two of us. Comfortable bed, functional furniture. Quiet; the only distraction was a colony of pigeons somewhere outside cooing - at least it is a relaxing sound.
The Reagh Bar with its limited menu and drinks options was emminently suitable for an impromptu relax after a day out and about. We stayed for the Quiz night on Thursday and met a woman travelling solo, who like us called in for a drink and something light to eat. We invited her to join us for the quiz and we had a most enjoyable time even though we were up against some Quiz Junkies!
We loved the Dining Room and Function Rooms - the Art Deco decor is spectacular and was completely unexpected. It has the feel of a London Club which is no bad thing at all! I will make some inquiries abut reciprocity with our Club in Adelaide.
We'll use this venue again when next we're in Sydney.
A bit more space in our room would have been good - we'll look more closely at room options next time.

Have stayed there a number of times and recommended it to my travelling companions. Charming and comfortable style in a great location. Lovely meal on the Friday night with fabulous service. All staff were terrific and helpful.
Absolutely no hot water for shower on 2 of 3 mornings in our 7th floor room. Unable to get breakfast or room service before 7am so had to head off to a long and busy day without. Unable to get any dinner on the Sunday night. We were travelling with a party of 12 people who wanted ‘a quiet night in’ after a long weekend of rehearsals and performing at the Opera House.
