"A friend of mine and I stayed here for 1 night. It was a great deal (70€) for 2 single beds, private bathroom. The staff was great. The town offers a lot of restaurants and shopping within a 5 minute ..."

I first stayed here on a business trip 20+ years ago and always wanted to go back; this was before it became an NH hotel. It certainly comes up to the standard I have come to expect from other NH hotels. I got the impression though that it was starting to look a little tired and is probably in need of some TLC. The location, right on the Rheinpromenade is excellent with plenty of good food and wines within a few minutes walk. Don't worry about any noise from the railway nearby, the hotel is well insulated and we weren't disturbed by trains.
The bed wasn't as comfortable as I remembered it and I took a room with a balcony from which it was not possible to see the Rhine (or at least what's left of it after the drought), but only the vineyards and the statue of Germania on the hill opposite. This didn't bother us too much but the photo when booking led me to expect more. This being Europe of course smoking appeared to be allowed on the balconies which is just a pain for anyone who is a non-smoker; having to keep the balcony door shut when it's 30°+ is just plain annoying. Maybe Europe will one day become civilised.

First of all the parking situation for the night was very easy. The lots spans the entire length of the hotel. It is free for the night. The young staff member who checked me in was very friendly, kind and efficient. I always try speaking German wherever I go but his English was so good it was impressive. We arrived late and were tired but he was very quick and we were in the room with very little delay. The assortment of sundries in the lobby was key as my daughter forgot her toothbrush so it was great that they had a variety of necessities there for just such a case. Our room faced the road but it was very quiet. It was a quirky flashback to the past and we loved it. The headboard was so awesome! It was clean and there was ample space for our things. The bed was comfortable and there were lots of pillows. Even though the hotel is obviously older it didn't hold any overpowering smells of bygone cigarette smoke or mildew. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot.
The room was a little warm and leaving the window open was not an option as the bugs were coming inside but it wasn't terrible. It was about 26C the day we checked in. The shower head in the tub/shower combo wouldn't stay forward no matter which way you twisted the hose attached to it but that was minor.

Service and food were excellent. We were able to make a reservation for dinner when we checked in. We decided to take a walk before dinner and when we returned to our room there was a dog bed, bowls, and a toy for our small dog we traveled with. We stayed over the New Years holiday. Every morning we had a full breakfast with cold and hot dishes, very delicious! Highly recommend the hotel!

It was close to the town and a view of the river. Unground parking was good. Ferries near by to go to other towns. Rüdesheim well worth a visit.
It didn’t have anywhere to sit and relax and have a drink or food in the evening. There was a chill cabinet to purchase drink from. They offered breakfast at €21-25 pp. I think this hotel is used for conferences as it lacked atmosphere.
