Hyvä hotelli vähän karussa ympäristössä.

Siisti ja avara hotelli. Alueen historiaa kunnioitetaan.

Entistä kasarmitilaa ei saa muuttaa. Tästä johtuen aamiaistilat olivat ahtaat. Tämä vaikutti myös aamiaisen sisältöön.

Sehr gelungen, empfehlenswert.

Tolle Lage zur Innenstadt (fussläufig erreichbar, freundliche u. Hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, familienfreundlich, kleine Küchen/Aufenthaltsräume auf den Etagen zum Teekochen, Aufwärmen etc. Gutes Frühstück. Interessantes Hotelkonzept (ehemalige Kaserne).

Great hotel close to airport

the location is really convenient, 10 minutes away from the airport. The room was big and well equipped for our three kids. There is also a play room.

Vapun vietossa vanhalla kasarmilla.

Sijainti, aamiainen, aamusauna, siisti huone ja hyvä sänky/tyynyt. Miljöö oli mielenkiintoinen, huoneet oli nimetty ja vanhat valokuvat loivat nostalgisen tunnelman.

Äänieristys on huono, viereisen huoneen äänet kuuluivat.

Liian vähän pistokerasioita (joutui sänkyä siirtämään että sai puhelimen ladattua)

Gutes Mittelklassehotel für Zwischenübernachtung

Großes modern eingerichtetes Zimmer mit Doppelbett und großzügigen Duschbad. Frühstück war schmackhaft und ausreichend. Die Attraktionen von Lappeenranta (Festung und Hafen) sind nach ca. 15 Minuten Fußmarsch in beide Richtungen erreichbar. Parken ist kostenlos.

Bei dem Gebäude handelt es sich um eine ehemalige Kaserne. Im Zimmer daher Militärfotos sowie kleine Andenkenfotos von verstorbenen Soldaten. Trotz der Historie des Ortes fanden wir dies eine etwas eigenartige Dekoration.

Hyvä sänky ja siisti huone

Saunalla ei ollut pesu tarvikkeita kun taas huoneessa oli (en tajunnut ottaa niitä mukaan kun lähdin saunaan)olis tietysti ollut kiva saada varattuna sauna meille vaan. Toinen nojatuoli olis voinut olla ja pieni peili kirjoitus pöydällä tai seinällä

Best comfort and value for money hotel in Lappeenranta

Very good price-value, located in the center of Lappeenranta - generally cheaper than comparable offers (Sokos and Scandic). Our to-go-to hotel when visiting Lappeenranta!

The breakfast is nice but there is no scrambled egg or bacon. But given that it offers much better value for money than comparable hotels in Lappeenranta, that is not a big problem.

Antica caserma ristrutturata

In zona centrale, parcheggio disponibile, pulito e confortevole, silenzioso, colazione disponibile. Accettano animali, ci sono diversi ospiti con cani.

Sarebbe corretto separare le camere che ospitano anche i cani dalle altre, io sono allergica al pelo del cane e mi sono resa conto subito che c’era qualcosa che non andava. Nonostante fosse pulitissimo ho avuto difficoltà a dormire, ho dovuto prendere i farmaci per l’allergia che avevo con me.

Karu kokemus!

Monipuolinen aamupala, ilmainen pysäköinti lähellä.

Huone oli aika karu. Armeijasta tutut kerrossängyt. Ilmeisesti hotelli oli täynnä ja muita huoneita ei ollut varattavissa. Ei minkäänlaista lukuvaloa. Minikokoinen televisio. Suihkussa ei shampoota tai muuta pesuainetta.

Aamianen oli ok. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja hyvä palvelu.

Pari lamppua oli rikki. Saunaosaston käyttö ei ollut illalla mahdollista yksityistilaisuuden takia.

Hyvä hinta/laatusuhde

Historiallinen rakennus on kauniisti remontoitu. Huoneet ovat korkeita ja käytävät leveitä. Lappeenrannan nähtävyydet ovat kävelyetäisyydellä. Henkilökunta on erittäin ystävällinen. Hotelli tarjoaa kattavan aamiaisen, jossa on hyvä valikoima leipiä ja leikkeleitä. Paikallisen leipomon karjalanpiirakat ja perunaleipäset ovat kokeilun arvoisia. Aamiaishuone on vähän pieni, mutta onnesta niitä on kaksi. Oman jääkaapin saa pyydettäessä ja hotellin Jopoja voi lainata pikkurahalla. Ilmainen sähköauton latauspiste toimi hyvin ja oli oikeastaan ratkaiseva tekijä hotellin valinnalle.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Raakuna and would recommend the hotel to others.

Hotel Rasmussen felt welcoming and homely. It was clean and roomy. We loved the breakfast. The location was great and it was good to have ample space for (free) parking. If we stayed longer we would have used the playroom upstairs. That was a good added bonus.

The playroom was a bit untidy, but that didn’t really bother us.

Good hotel in a beautiful old brick barracks.

Nicely renowated old barracks turned into a hotel. Good breakfast was included. No carpet was good for us. Friendly service. Parking close by.

Fridge in the room would have been nice.

Great location with access to local sights

We chose to break our return journey from Juva via Savonlinna at Lapeenranta. We weren’t sure what to expect but liked the look of this hotel, which is part of a former military barracks on the edge of the city. The outside of the hotel has an institutional look to it but the interior has been tastefully decorated and the rooms are very pleasant. Each room is named after a person who was stationed at the barracks and there’s a little bio about them on the desk. Room was a good size with individually controlled air conditioning and, wonder of wonders, a window that opened. Bed was large and linen was pristine. The bathroom is modern but I was surprised that there was shower curtain rather than shower screen, given the pricing of the hotel. Excellent blackout curtains that are needed in summer where there is daylight almost 24hrs a day. The building is solid. Very solid. This means that it’s well soundproofed from outside noise and in the halls. The second floor has a ‘relaxation area’ which is like a common room where there’s a fridge for you to leave cold items, kettle, ice machine, coffee maker tables chairs, a wide screen TV etc. They also have a separate play room for kids. On the third floor is a recreation area with small pool table, air hockey etc. Everything is in perfect condition. Breakfast is in the breakfast room on the ground floor. People have complained that the breakfast is ‘not that great’ but coming from a country where breakfast is *never* included, a breakfast of cereal & bread, cheese & ham, yoghurt & pastries, coffee and juice is a real treat.

The hotel is within easy walking distance of the centre of town and if you want a leg stretch, the fort area is within walking distance. Parking is free but it is more than a bit tricky to get to the hotel, particularly with the current road works being done. Siri (Apple) led us to the address but the road is blocked by permanent bollards. Google Maps was better, getting us inside the barracks area but not to the hotel. We left the car, walked across the barracks to ask for instructions and then returned to get the car. The hotel may benefit from putting a map with clear instructions on their website on how to drive to the hotel and park.

A/C is a hoax, so not choose this hotel is you do not like to sleep in a hot room.

Nice quiet location, updated rooms and very clean.

I chose the hotel because they say they have air conditioning. They do, only is set so that the lowest temperature it can get is 23 degrees. Room was hot as hell. Outside temperature was under 10 but as it is important that the room is quiet I could not sleep with the window open. Very disappointing experience.
