Costaustralis hotel Puerto Natales

A localização e a vista são os pontos mais fortes. Incrível tomar o café da manhã com a paisagem em frente! A decoração do hotel é muito bonita. Tem bicicletas do hotel, achei ótimo. Dica é melhorar a manutenção delas. Também gostei que na recepção pode reservar vários passeios.

O tamanho do quarto achei um pouco apertado. O chuveiro poderia ter box e não só cortina. Mas a bancada do banheiro é espaçosa.

Dinheiro super mal gasto! Experiência péssima!

Teve problemas com aquecimento dos quartos e dos chuveiros no hotel todo por não suportarem muitos hóspedes e ninguém foi resolver pois estava tarde, já passava das 20 horas. Os hóspedes que esperassem o dia seguinte, sendo assim não pude tomar banho pois a água estava super gelada e o quarto também e fazia -3 graus no dia. Tive que dormir com o quarto gelado pois o aquecedor do hotel não funcionava. O hotel é extremamente barulhento, parece feito de papelão, você ouve os outros quartos e todo barulho da rua. Café da manhã foi o pior de todos os hotéis q já passei. Hotel caro que não condiz o serviço oferecido ao preço. Não recomendo ficar nesse hotel!! Ah e os funcionários não sabem dar informação de lojas e locais para alugar equipamentos e coisas do tipo!

ubicación perfecta , desayuno muy bueno ,

el día 1 había problemas con la calefacción y pasamos mucho frió, los días posteriores se arreglo y perfecto, y lo que no me pareció bien ,el día del chek-in que no hubiese el servicio de una persona que nos ayudara a subir el equipaje a la habitación, y que nos pasaron un carro (poco manuable) para transportar nuestro equipaje, sobre todo que somos 3 adultas mayores ,

Good value stay, very little to fault

Lovely location on the lake front. Our corner room had fantastic views ranging over approx 240 degrees. Breakfast was excellent, you could see the impact of Covid with everything offered in single person portions which is probably one of the few ongoing benefits from that time. We visited in Winter and hotel was lovely and warm. Staff were very friendly and we made use of the luggage store on the day we departed, most useful.

During our stay the hotel was undergoing renovation on the floors below which meant a little noise. The hotel offers self serve filtered water from a dispenser by the lifts, the provided carafes took an absolute age to fill, the dispensing button had to be pushed in with significant pressure throughout this slow delivery.

Very good for Chilean standard!

It was decorated very well and the staff were very helpful and nice. Nice view from the room. Breakfast was the same everyday but it was very good.

We couldn’t adjust the heater in the room - it was boiling hot. I expected this kind of hotel to have tissues or mini fridge or something but there wasn’t. Maybe it’s the Chilean thing.

Extremely disappointing

The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy, the lobby area is a big bonus, breakfast is good and the the water filters in each floor a nice touch.

We arrived during a holiday in which most restaurants in town were closed. We would have loved to have had dinner at the hotel, except it doesn’t serve lunch, dinner or have room service. They have a frigobar service( not in the room) in which they make you go down to the front desk to get the item and the selection is not great. Additionally, even though the hotel was not crowded, we were there during shoulder season, the staff seemed not happy to be working there. When we checked in into our room, it was cold (it was 20F outside and the hotel is by the water and has beautiful views of the water but also a lot of draft). We called reception to let them know the heater was not working- cold to the touch -and they told us they would send extra blankets and a space heater bc maintenance was not available due to the holiday. They arrived with blankets and no space heater. They told us they only had one heater and it was already being used in another room. We are traveling with two young children, so this was completely unacceptable. They didn’t offer another room and didn’t even really apologize. It seemed like a normal occurrence at this hotel. Thank goodness my husband is an engineer and without tools he managed to vent the heater and take a knob from the bathroom and turn the heater on. we cranked it up to the max and were still chilly at night, so I can’t even imagine how cold it would have been without it. The next day, I waited to see if maintenance would come. Nothing. They never checked in on us for the rest of our stay. The last drop that made me write this hotel off my future list was that one day housekeeping completely bypassed our room and the next day we asked for the room to be serviced while we were out for lunch for a few hours. Mind you the hotel wasn’t full and when arrived back the room still wasn’t clean. We complained and waited another hour for the room to be serviced. This hotel could be a 4 star, but the staff is less than 0 stars!

I would stay here again

I like the staff the most. They were always willing to help and very friendly. Location is great with a great view.

We like the breakfast, but they should add/ change the breakfast options as it was always the same.

Great hotel with good dining

Stayed 2 nights at Hotel Costaustralis and was very pleasantly surprised. It is the first stop on the way into town from the hotel which is convenient if you take the shuttle bus. Nice location on the shoreline with view to the north and west over the harbour and to the mountains. Our room faced the harbour and it was cosy with a beautiful view. Unfortunately there are very bright lights on the walkway illuminating the shoreline walk and they stay on all night so we had to close the blackout curtains over our window which was a pity. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the breakfast was excellent, better than anywhere else we encountered in Chile. The restaurant was also open until 11pm which was convenient for a late return from Torres del Paine. Although not in the centre of town, there are plenty of shops, restaurants and other conveniences within a short and pleasant walk from the hotel

Very good

First row by the water, so nice views from the hotel. Very good breakfast with very friendly staff. Rooms simple but nice.

Check in process a bit chaotic. Obviously there was some misscommunication between the hotel and booking.com.

Ideal base in Puerto Natales

When staying in Puerto Natales, it makes sense to stay at the Hotel Australis. It has great views over the water, the rooms and food are good - it is exactly what you need either before or after a trip to Torres del Paine. Great value for money, no complaints about staying here.
