The location in the center of the city is perfect.
The rooms, toilets and towels are clean.
The owner is nice.
The cleaning ladies are very helpful (thank you for shlepping the suitcases).
But: there is no direct car access. All the streets end before the square and there is no possibility to unload your luggage in front of the hotel. Depending on where the cab stops you need to carry the suitcases down a staircase, or up a steep, bumpy sidewalk. This is not at the hotel’s fault though.
The second big big issue - there is no mentioning in the hotel’s description that the rooms start at the third floor of the building. Yes, the first two are a casino (I didn’t hear noises) and you need to climb to floor three for the first level of rooms. No elevator, no concierge. It is challenging for older folks.
There is limited amount of places serving food on the square - a small bakery next to the hotel serves baked goods the whole day (they are actually very tasty) and few cafes serving pizza. It was difficult finding a good sitting place.
