Excellent service from all staffs. Great breakfast and dinner. 30 mins Private hot spring for each room to enjoy the privacy. Very relax if you want to enjoy a quiet moment.

I was extreemly pleasantly surprised by this place. I'd looked around online for a small ryokan with not to many rooms, futons to sleep on, and that could keep dietary restrictions in mind. Since I cannot eat fish, seafood or seaweed that last one was pretty important to me. I messaged the ryokan beforehand to let them know and they kept it in mind when making my breakfast and dinner. If I had not known they changed things for me, I would have thought my dinner and breakfast were a standard meal option. I never felt like I got less or missed out.
The room itself was large, clean and very nice. The futon and pillow were soft and I never had any issues from not sleeping in a regular bed. The onsen was very nice. In the evening the outside bath can be booked as a private bath. But since it's a small ryokan I often found myself alone in the onsen anyway.
I've already told my friends who're thinking of going to Hakone on their next Japan trip that they have to come to this Ryokan. I too would come back if I ever visit Hakone again!

We loved staying here. 10/10 location, easy 2 minute walk to Gora station with access to cable car for the Halone free pass loop. Charming and quiet, tge onsens - although public to other guests - were fabulous and we had them to ourselves everytime except once. They change the onsens from ladies to men daily so you get to experience all onsens. The dinners and breakfasts was the best food we have had in Japan. They catered for our kids with cooked seafood and meat rather than sashimi.
Nothing, it was just what we wanted.

We had an incredible stay at Lalaca in Gora. The food was a real highlight, with delicious, authentic multi-course meals that felt like a special experience each evening. They also provided fantastic vegetarian meals on request, with just as much care and variety as the standard menu.
The entire hotel was beautiful, and both the lobby and our room had amazing views. Our room was extremely spacious, comfortable and had excellent air conditioning. The onsens were peaceful, relaxing and very well maintained—the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring Hakone.
A wonderful traditional Japanese stay with exceptional food, beautiful surroundings and excellent facilities. We would highly recommend Lalaca!
