Spacious room, very big lockers, comfy bed, clean and perfect location!!
Some things for new guests to keep in mind:
-The hostel is very quiet and there's people of all ages.
-If you plan to leave your stuff before/after your stay the lockers only accept coins.
-The bathrooms are small but good enough. There's a sink in the room as well.
- The hostel is on a busy street so expect it to be loud weather it's the people walking, deliveries in the morning, the church etc. My earplugs helped.
-No lift.
- The card for your room stops working right at the time of the checkout, so don't get locked out of the room while going to the toilet or something.
- It is on the more pricier side of hostels in London but the location and cleanliness make it so worth it. No bedbugs unlike many others I checked out before deciding.

The location was incredible, and in a reasonably safe area of the city. The canteen was a good size, but I wish I had found some coffee making area. I did not purchase meals, as I found it a bit expensive ie I only like a small light breakfast and did not want to pay out for a large cooked breakfast.
I liked my room location, and happy that I did not have lots of stairs to get to it. Also very much appreciated that my request for lower bunk was honored since I have arthritis and top bunk would have been impossible.
After staying in many hostels (both YHA and private) I really didn't find much that I disliked about the St Pauls hostel. I had wanted to stay there for several years because of the proximity to the Cathedral and area. I didn't see that there were any activities or tours or bbq dinners, and that would make it even better I believe. I'd also love to hear from the YHA about hostels for older adults/retirees etc - if there are any most suitable, and if there is a reduction for seniors? Elder Hostels are a way of the future I believe.
