Very disappointing

The only thing I like about the hotel was the location.

When I booked I was never told they were in the middle of renovations. There was things everywhere and I felt like I was the only one in the hotel .

The bed was uncomfortable… resources were Spartan and unwelcoming somebody was saving a lot more that making the venue appealing… toilet seat was unpleasant…service quality suggested unhappy staff and the breakfast was very tacky

Staff were very pleasant.

Leaking roof & smelly corridors. Half the electrics & lights in the room didnt work. TV not working and not even a kettle in the room. Breakfast was offered but only cereal, declined based on did not feel clean enough to eat.

The hotel is extremely outdated, from public areas to bedrooms the entire building needs an upgrade. I know it was cheaper than other hotels in the area but none of the money is being put into the hotel. Facilities in room from tv to the furniture are from the 90s at best. The picture of Mary Robinson on the first floor landing sets the tone. Cleanliness is ok and location is tops. I also went Sunday night of bank holiday weekend and my room was overlooking the adjacent nightclub and I was never informed at booking or check in. Extremely loud noise until 2am. Felt like I was in the middle of the dancefloor. Horrendous night.

Nothing it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in

This hotel was terrible , filthy stained carpets in the rooms and hallway, as you walk upstairs you can see there is mould on the ceilings, the hallway where our room was stank of cigarette smoke and once we opened the room you could smell it was damp, there was a thick layer of dust on the surfaces around the room, the bathroom had a large window beside the tub and no privacy there was a transparent purple blind hanging on the window which did nothing, we had gone out and arrived back to the hotel late and our room keys did not work, we were told this was a common occurance, we were offered another room but our belongings were in there so waited until the man working there finally was able to open the door with the cleaners key Over all it was just horrible

The location is one of two pluses of this property. The 2nd is the staff I met, who was very nice and helpful.

The room was awful, cold, horrific smell, beyond dated, dirty carpets. This property is a 1 star at best.

The hotel is a bit run down, but staff are so friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was basic, with coco pops, rice crispys or corn flakes and toast on offer. Cant fault the staff they were all lovely, the girl on reception was looking after the bar also, made sure no on was waiting . There was a lovely friendly atmosphere in the hotel. The decor is a bit run down, but if you're just looking for somewhere for a quick stay over it does the job, it's central to everything in the town, we got parking right outside, it is pay parking. As they've no carpark anymore. The hotel has a huge nightclub which is right under the rooms. So if you want rest it's not the hotel for you. The first night we got no sleep, so the second night we joined them. 🤣 There 4 djs in different areas so when you're in bed theres a lot of different beats and vibrations going on. The downstairs of the hotel itself is full of people while it's going on. But when it ended there wasn't a sound it was like people were herded out straight away. Our room was right over one of the nightclub rooms and looking over the outside smoking/ dancing area. But there wasn't a sound once the music was finished.

My bed had a big hole in the bottom of the mattress, but my friends bed was fine. TV was tiny with one station and bad reception. Rooms didn't feel very secure, door was hard to lock and didn't feel secure at all, didn't leave any valuables in the room as there was easy access from night club to rooms. Anyone could of went upstairs.

Location perfect, hotel needs work

What a shame, this hotel is a beautiful old lady and it's left to become run-down. The staff were lovely and friendly. It's a great location in the middle of town. Really enjoyed the nightclub.

The room needed a lot of paint, the smell of smoke. Generally run down. This is indicated in.the price tbh.

Good value at €49 per night. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location was good in town centre.

Rooms are very dated. TV wasn't working very well and there was little choice of channels. Bathroom was clean but very old. Carpets throughout the hotel had seen their best days.
