This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is the perfect place to get away from it all while remaining convenient to all the best that Maryland, Delaware, and Pennsylvania have to offer. Minutes from Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area for the horseback riders, mountain bikers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts. University of Delaware is a quick 10 minute ride away to catch a football game, celebrate commencement, or enjoy the perks of downtown Newark. Other local attractions abound, including orchards, vineyards, breweries, boating, and fishing. Just an hour from Baltimore or Philadelphia and not far from major highways, which makes for the perfect getaway with minimal traffic. There is a Ring security camera installed outside the house. This camera provides the owner a view of both of the house’s entrances. The camera does have audio capabilities that are not monitored unless necessary.
The house is situated on 4 beautifully wooded acres, with a path down to a peaceful creek at the back of the property. It includes all the major amenities of a home away from home, including fully outfitted kitchen, washer and dryer, spacious bedrooms, comfortable living room, and sleeping arrangements for a group of up to 6 people.

Loved this space. Perfect location as we were visiting University of Delaware. Awesome communication from the host and everything is well organized at the house. Would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

The Appleton retreat was a pleasure to stay at. We are typically in the area annually and were delighted that Sharon shared her family friendly home with us. We hope to be able to stay again in the future. Sharon has obviously worked hard to make this a home away from home. It was so nice to allow our two 3 year old grandsons time to enjoy running in the yard, playing on the swing, collecting branches for the fire pit and of course the daily train whistle’s. Thank you for a comfortable and relaxing stay (as relaxing as a stay with 2 toddlers can be ).

The house was very very well equipped. Better than many we have stayed (ex. I brought my own crockpot…didn’t need it because there was one available). Everything was super clean and comfortable. Great beds and bedding and the layout and being all on one level was perfect for my mother who has walking difficulties. We were there to celebrate my mom’s birthday and it was the perfect weekend all around. Thank you Sharon for sharing your lively home with us. We will most definitely be back!!
