Not much options on breakfast, no proper internet coverage in rooms, no continous hot water in shower room

The stay was worth every Penny we paid :)

The View from the Room itself was extra ordinary. Windows were quite big and we had an excellent view of Mountains, the Green's and the beautiful nature of the surrounding from our room itself. During night time you can hear a pin drop (pure silence and very comfortable). Staff and the owner was always around and really helpful and welcoming at all times. The blankets provided were more than enough to keep us warm during night time and there was hot water in both Shower and Basin. Addtionally if you want, you can get a heater for a few extra bucks. Breakfast was simple and traditional. In no way it's a five star hotel. But if what matters for you is the view, a peaceful stay and a central hotel with easy access to almost all nature sites like Gregory Park, Victoria Park, Lovers Fall, etc this is a place worth the money that is being paid.

As nothing is perfect, the interior is in need of an upgrade. Room and the hotel in general was very clean. Even the toilet. But to make it more attractive, Rooms could be repainted and Door locks could be upgraded. Toilet needs a bit of renovation as well. Other than that, it was all Good.

yes, i would definitely recommend anyone looking for a nice place to stay. close to town and all amenitities.

since our time of arrival to departure staffs were there to fulfill our requests. ver nice classic and heritage touch to interior. clean and neat. view was exceptional. love it so much.

Lovely stay

The man that runs the homestay is really sweet and lovely. When we arrived, he gave us 2 cups of delicious tea with cookies. You can choose when you get your breakfast. The breakfast is also big and good. The room is also big enough and it has a panoramic beautiful view. We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at this place.

It’s a little big cold during the night but you can pay extra for a heater so it’s not really a negative point

Beautiful views from the room on the tea fields. Amazing breakfast served by lovely people! The hotel owner is a very friendly and helpful man. Gave us good tips on what to see and where to eat! He helped in exchanging euros for rupees for a very good rate.

The room was a bit dated.

Charming bed and breakfast with fantastic view

I got a free upgrade from the budget room to the triple, which was really spacious and had a gorgeous view. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and helped us arrange a trip to Horton Plains and provided us with special snacks for the Sri Lankan New Year.

The bathrooms were a little damp with a mildew smell. It's an old house without good insulation, so we could hear people celebrating the holiday into the night and it can get a bit chilly at night (if that bothers you)

Overall this is a good place to stay.

Owner and the Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and the location is very close to Nuwara Eliya town.

Bit disappointed with heating. Even though heating was requested few weeks prior to check-in, they failed to supply heaters to the both rooms that I booked.

1. Really good looking house in colonial style 2. No issues with getting take away breakfast at 5:30am (we were going to Horton Plains) 3. Quite close to city center 4. Manager - best manager from all hotels, that have visited in Sri Lanka. Hotel is itself really good, but with this manager it is shining 5. Warm water

As probably in all hotels here - little cold, but with additional heater was good

Great location, not far from everything, with great view on pedro plantation and single tree hill, it is very cozy inside, so many antique staff, best wifi i meet in srilanka, breakfast is just ok. Owner is a great person friendly and helpful.

Top location, welcoming and good value for money.

A quirky hotel up a hill with unusual nick-naks about the place that will keep you interested either reading about them, or guessing what they were used for? The views from the rooms are spectacular and breakfast was a hearty '10 out of 10' start to the day. The hosts of this hotel could not be more helpful, always there to answer your questions, arrange trips, even drive you themselves, excellent and thank you.

The room was a little 'tired' with the ever present smell of mothballs. Our designated room was not one easily picked out on Booking.com website and was adjacent the Dining Room which made it a little noisy. The bed, although comfortable, got a little chilly at night having just travelled up from the south provence.

A bit outside the city but really nice view

The view from the room is really nice and Saman is a really nice and kind host. He organized pick up and drop to the train station. breakfast was really big

when we arrived there was a really strong unpleasant smell in the room that I could not identify what it was and unfortunately I could not open the window to get some fresh air in. the place is a bit far from downtown so you need to take a tuk tuk if you want to eat or drink something. The room would need a little renovation

Good hotel but bad weather

Very nice and helpful owner. He brought us to the bus station with his car. The room should have a pretty nice view... If there was no fog. Amazing breakfast. Good location, close to the lake. Hotel itself has a very nice interior.

It was very humid in the apartment and a bit dirty. Towels were a bit wet.

A pleasurable place to stay with hospitable people and enjoy a great experience. Lot of memories.

It was excellent I could view Pithuruthalagala the highest mountain and the Adam's Peak a special mountain from my room. This is a unique experience there was this Single Tree mountain that has had a huge Single Keena Tree was also observable from my room. Saman the care taker was very hospitable and conversant in English.

The food was good. There were lot of antique and artifacts in the lobby area. that looked like a Mini Museum. There was this cupboard like thing. When asked Saman said that was to store rice and it was a unique thing that I had not seen. There were lot of brassware wooden furniture and many more items displayed in the lobby area. You will definitely enjoy this.

The host was very nice, arranged tuk tuk according to our needs, tried to find out when the train would run. The place could be nice when it's warm outside - the views are beautiful.

When it rains, the room gets quite cold and wet. Unfortunately the heaters that are available at additional cost also didn't work. Wifi didn't work during our stay.
