Exceptional
We had a very pleasant one week stay in the villa. The villa is very spacious, very calm and is equipped with everything needed for a perfect and relaxing vacation. The pool area is exceptional. Last but not least - the hosts are very nice and friendly people, any questions we had were answered promptly. As a frequent traveller I definitely recommend this property.
Everything was perfect

Great yard and pool
Great yard with a lot of trees, big pool and a lot of places to relax. We choose this villa for this yard and worth it. Also, the terrace from 1st floor is really amazing (with sea view). Ourania is very responsive and reply to our calls and messages very quickly.
Inside of the vila could be better. We found some places that wasn’t cleaned up before our arrival. There was no cleaning service inside the Vila during our 9 nights stand.

Fantastic vila! But...
We were a family of 13 (6 adults and 7 children ranging from 3 to 18 year olds.) We took over the vila for 10 days during August—max occupancy using all beds is 13 so it was the perfect size. THE GOOD: Ourania, our host, received us at the vila with a nice spread of local cheeses, cakes and wine which was a really nice gesture. The vila is very well kept, as are the grounds that are huge (probably 3-4 acres!). The pool is fantastic, and lots of places to relax in either garden chairs or sun beds (there’s always somewhere you can sit that is away from everyone else, if you need the break). The vila is also quite secluded, surrounded by pines and lush bushes (lots of delicious veggie and fruit too), and provides all the peace and quiet you need. The kitchens have all needed utensils as well as the basic condiments to get you started. The outside gas BBQ was also well kept and clean and easy to use. There’s a washing machine, hairdryers and lots of towels available in the vila. There are also foldable beach chairs and sun shades for when you head to the beach. Supermarkets are 10-20 minute drive, depending if you want the pricier Sani version or cheaper local versions (there is a Lidl up the road from which we stocked up.) We spent our days mostly lazing around the pool and enjoying the beautiful local beaches and food. (The Sani beach is fantastic; there is a strip to the north of the resort that is free. The resort also has a section in the north-most part that is paid: €40 for a shade and two sun-beds.) Location-wise, the vila was a great base for daily excursions to Thessaloniki, Mt Atos and Meteora (the latter was a 3 hour drive per direction).
THE BAD As in every house, stuff goes awry: sinks clog up, bath drainage over-flows and air conditioners fail. That’s fine and acceptable to a degree. What’s not acceptable is Ourania’s availability to respond—if and when she did so. To be honest, it felt as if we were a nuisance to her and at times she would not even respond to our text messages, leaving us to deal with the problem ourselves. My advice would be for Ourania to keep a local maintenance person on-call (there is probably no shortage with the Sani resort round the corner), so that there is someone nearby who can respond in a timely manner. THE UGLY As there is no local person (and since Ourania lives in Thessaloniki and was not available), it was up to us to wait at the house for the repairman—something you don’t go on holiday to do. Five days later, and three visits by the repairman, the A/C was working again (those were some hot August nights and for all the wrong reasons...) The drainage issues I fixed myself. THE VERDICT If you are OK with some of the above “headaches” and fixing stuff yourself, then the villa will be perfect for you. It was for us; we shrugged off “the bad” and made some great memories together! One last note: All beds throughout the house are hard. If that’s a problem for you, think about packing a soft mattress cover. Enjoy!
