I think it was the best view I've ever lived with! The apartment has an old-times charm: vintage furniture, rugs over the sofa, a plastic cover on the dining table to protect it, a kitchen with no microwave or coffee machine. But the lovely neighborhood, the warm and attentive hosts, and THE VIEW outshined everything. The communication was honestly perfect - answers came in seconds, and anything we asked for arrived in minutes. During our stay we had to make a trip to the ER, and the help and support we got from Maria Pia and Valeria was endless. And yes, you have to climb a lot of stairs and slopes - but hey, that's Taormina, and it's a pretty good way to burn off an Italian dinner :) We'd absolutely come back, and we recommend this apartment to anyone.

Het grote terras met prachtig uitzicht op de Etna en de zee
De locatie lag wat hoger dan aangegeven op Booking. Gelukkig was de host heel behulpzaam en ben ik inclusief zware koffer veilig gearriveerd in het appartement en weer naar beneden gekomen! :)

Świetny kontakt anglojęzyczny z opiekunem obiektu przez Whats'up. Maria Pia bardzo przemiła osoba, we wszystkim pomocna. Potrzebowaliśmy dodatkowej kołdry na łóżka - pojawiła się tego samego dnia o 17.
Kwatera duża, przestronna, czysta, zadbana. Bardzo dobrze wyposażona kuchnia, wspaniały duży taras z widokiem na Etnę, Morze Śródziemne. Łóżka zróżnicowane, jedne trochę trwardsze, inne miększe. Materace nowe i bardzo wygodne. Duże szafy na ubrania. Obok kwatery 5 minuty pieszo: sklep z pieczywem, pizzą oraz drugi sklep z mięsem, serem, piwem i składnikami do pizzy. Obok sklepów: przystanek autobusowy do centrum oraz do Castelmola. Pieszo do centrum: 10 minut (400m). Obok obiektu: Droga Saracenów. W okolicy cicho, nie ma turystów. Wspaniałe widoki z tarasu w ciągu całego dnia, szczególnie nocą. Kwatera leży trochę wyżej w stosunku do centrum Taorminy. Miejsce bardzo dobrze skomunikowane przez Etna Transporti (autobusy co godzinę).
Polecam każdemu, kto lubi kwatery na uboczu ze wspaniałym widokiem, bliskim sklepem i chęcią aktywnego trekkingu nie tylko do centrum Taorminy :-), ale także na pobliskie szczyty (Monte Tauro (ok. 400 m n.p.m.), Monte Venere (884 m n.p.m.)).

The room was clean, the bed in the bedroom was very comfortable, nice view of the sea and the city, fully equipped kitchen, Italian cable TV, Wi-Fi worked flawlessly. Indeed, there was no noise from the street or other sounds. About a 10-15 minute walk to the center.
We knew the apartment was located higher up (Taormina is a town situated on a hill) and that we had to walk uphill to get there, but from the main gate there was still a long walk along a service road, which wasn't mentioned in the location description. What surprised me most was that there was a staircase to access, but the owner didn't have the keys and this is really absurd. The host's warm welcome is undeniable; the apartment itself is very cozzy. However, the host should seriously consider including the apartment's actual location in the listing description, as it's kept secret. As I mentioned, the address only leads to the main gate, from where you have to climb a very steep hill due to the lack of stairwell keys. I wouldn't recommend this apartment to the elderly, disabled, or simply unfit. Approaching the apartment is quite a challenge.
