Great house we enjoyed the outside area a bunch. It was close to family so they were able to visit. Beds were really comfortable. The only complaints I would have is the shower head in the main bathroom was not great and there is a shelf very poorly placed that I kept hitting my elbow on. I just ended up using the other shower the rest of the time and it was great. Overall great experience and great place.

We had a lovely stay in this property. Everything we could possibly need was there except a sunlouger would have been nice so that I could have relaxed in comfort whilst my husband was fishing. The pool was simply amazing, it felt so fresh and clean and the tempature was perfect. All lounge seating and bed were really comfortable (once we discovered the bed firmness could be changed via a remote, we then had a lovely soft mattress). Fab huge TV in the lounge which we enjoyed in the evenings. The immediate area was very quiet and to be honest there isn't much to do locally (that we found) but when you have such a lovely home to stay in it doesn't matter. There is a great pizza place just up the road. Great taste and price. Don our contact was very easy to contact and he came back with answers to any questions quickly. Altogether a great stay. Thank you.

Surrounded by quiet, friendly neighbors. Fishing in the Gulf within minutes from the available dock. Take advantage of this convenience if you're bringing your boat! Cozy home with beautiful views. Upgraded stove, microwave and dishwasher. Beautiful granite countertops. Our Frenchie fur babies were happy and comfortable too!

We had another lovely stay at Mermaid House. This was our second stay and its was nice to see Don again. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best stay. We had a little hiccup with the swim spa that Don was quick to sort out and we enjoyed the swim spa/ pool most evenings. The home was immaculate as the first time we stayed here. The new gazebo off the patio was a lovely addition and we spent most evenings outside. The home is perfect every amenity you will need is there, and we enjoyed using the kayaks. We docked our fishing boat and had a great time catching fish in the gulf- Red, Blue, Sea Trout, Mackerel, Cobia, Jacks and Snook. The sunsets were beautiful and you could actually see the sun setting into the gulf off the walkway to the dock at the house. Sunrises were beautiful too. We will be back for a longer stay next year. As always a wonderful stay. ❤️

Location is great. It was a base camp for us. We were able to visit many places. After our adventures during the day, this home and neighborhood was quiet & relaxing allowing us to re-energize. Will rent again.

This has been one of the nicest vacation homes we have stayed in - lots to do. We fished right from the dock and swam in the pool almost every day. There were kayaks too. So nice and peaceful sitting out on the patio. We even saw a dolphin swim by. Loved our stay!

I am so grateful for my stay at the Mermaid House it had all the amenities that my family needed plus more! The house was a perfect open concept layout located at an amazing end lot. We loved having our morning coffee with the daily visits from all the fish, dolphins and even a Mommy Manatee and baby by her side! We will 100% love to stay there again . The house was well kept clean and had an amazing updated kitchen!

The home had every thing you could need. It has a jetted hot tub for swimming. And its on 2 canals where you can park your boat. The beds were wonderful. The owners and manager were all very helpful for anything we needed.

Outstanding stay at a peaceful and safe house! Totally enjoyed our time in the sun on the deck and in the swim spa! Will stay again soon!

There was plenty of space and comfort in the house. The pool was perfect after a long day. The best part of the stay was watching the beautiful sunrises and sunsets!

Location was great, short trip to the channel and gulf. House was comfortable, clean and well stocked and the outside spaces were nice. Only drawback and not really anything you can do about it is the pool is small so gets very hot in the summer so not really usable. All in all had a great experience and would highly recommend

The house was spotless with a kitchen better equipped than my own! So comfortably furnished, with every need thought of. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful home-away-from-home stay with beautiful sunsets over the Gulf. Don't hesitate to book Mermaid House!

We loved the location of this house. We enjoyed seeing the boats coming in and out and the sunsets were beautiful. The swim spa was a nice place to relax. The house was lovely and very spacious for a family of 4.

Open arrival we walked into an unswept foyer with a live roach near the hall table. Kitchen table had crumbs. Doorwall was full of smudges and fingerprints. All of this prompted uneasy feelings, especially during these times with Covid. Upon further evaluation, all the fans were caked with dust, there was hair in the shower, along with filthy dirty bath mats and another roach in the laundry area. All of which has been documented with pictures/ videos if interested. I contacted the property manager, Don Himes, via the phone number he provided. He offered to have pest control and cleaning lady call us to arrange times with us to take care of the problems. I expressed we shouldn't have to take time out of our vacation to do things that should have been done prior to our arrival. We had prearranged plans that we were unable to change. I tried to call Mr Himes to discuss things, he was unavailable to take my call at the time. He did not call me back, but instead continued to text in a very unprofessional manner. Though, fortunate for us, he did offer us a refund. This left us with mixed feelings. Our vacation was based around this location and now we were forced to find other lodging. All I was looking for was some empathy and for him to personally handle the situation without inconveniencing us, since he is the property manager. Instead he continued to harass me through the conversation portion on the VRBO app. All we were looking for was a clean, well kept vacation rental.
