Thank you to the reception team for kindly accommodating my request to change my booking from the bungalow to Hotel Laki, as the bungalow does not have Wi-Fi. I truly appreciate your understanding and assistance. I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to the receptionist who assisted us during check-out. She was very kind, patient, and helpful, especially when helping us contact the car rental company. Her willingness to assist made the process much easier for us. The kindness and helpfulness of the reception team are truly appreciated. Thank you for making our stay a pleasant experience.

The location is nice . The breakfast is great :)

We got "upgraded" to room inside hotel. We thought it's better because closer to the breakfast place. The room we got felt like someone smoke on it. Also we stayed 2 nights on the second night after some time there was no hot watter

Nice location and very peaceful. Had everything you needed. Super comfy bedding. Quaint town of Selfoss centrally located for day excursions.

We were in the bungalows that appeared to be older than some of the others. So I can only comment on those. It’s in a good location if you want to be somewhere between Reykiavik and the sights that are further east. It was a clean and had a coffee maker if you like Nespresso machines, the staff were friendly. Many accomodation in Iceland have shared bathrooms this at least was a private bathroom. (Like my grandmas from the 1940’s) That’s all the good I can honestly say.

It was insanely expensive. I mean Iceland is already very expensive but this was next level expensive for the quality. We have paid less for 5 star accommodation yet this was oldest and most dilapidated place we have ever stayed. It is of course a case of availability and demand as accommodation is limited in this area. But felt very much like we were not getting our moneys worth. Could hear the people next door talking and moving around without them doing anything extreme. The floors even shook when the children ran around. Breakfast was included but didn’t start until 7am so we had already left and were unable to use it. The shower was uber tiny and the sliding door screen was broken. (Although they said they would get that repaired when we reported it) The hairdryer was melted. There was a couple of hooks but no hanging space or coat hangers. It was clean and to some extent comfortable but the price made us struggle to enjoy it.
