About this house rental
Nestled in Cayman Islands, this charming house for $190 per night is a great option for your next break. Hear and see the ocean in this beautiful, 1500 Sq. Ft, two bedroom ocean front home features an open floor plan enabling you to interact with others easily. It has central air, three sitting areas, all new kitchen appliances, bottled water quality water through an iSpring 5 Stage water purifier, new furniture, new premium pillow top mattresses, an updated en-suite master bathroom as well as a completely remodeled common bathroom & shower. Both have walk in tile showers with seats. The master bedroom is ocean front enabling guests to have incredible sunsets and sunrises with its own French door entrance to the large ocean side deck. The master also has a 42" flat screen HDTV, and a walk-in closet . WiFi, Roku, Netflix and IHeart Radio access included. The open floor plan of the living/sun/dining room and kitchen allows guests to interact as well as see the ocean in all areas. Three seating areas in addition to the dining area provide ample room for games, TV or chatting. the living room has a 49" HDTV with entertainment system. The house sleeps up to 6 when using the queen size hide-a-bed located in the sunroom. Included in each house are several games, paperbacks, stateside phone for free calls, and a local cell phone. You can also experience a local game using the local soldier crabs or "hermit crabs" in a circle and seeing whose wins the race to the food in the center. Whenever we are there my daughter takes a little leftover food out each evening and they have come to expect it and show up for "dinner". They range in size from baseball size hermits to tip of your pinky sized ones. Unfortunately, the home is not suitable for small children. An adjacent cottage (Ocean Retreat) is also available for rent. (Property 4016748) Inquire for rates that include both houses. It sleeps up to four when using the living room hide-a-bed. The cottage has been completely remodeled with gorgeous vanilla cabinetry and quartz countertop. All new appliances, as well as furniture. This gem features its own front porch as well as an oceanfront, side patio with a double lounger perfect for romantic evenings. There is a shared full sized laundry on the property. The house and cottage are located just 90 feet from the ocean with 85' of shoreline. The beach is rocky, so water shoes are a must! There are several good snorkeling areas just off the shoreline boasting an abundance of vegetation, reefs and marine life. A short five minute drive to the dive shops and shopping. Initial food supplies can be purchased and placed in house for your convenience if you desire. Just submit a list and reimbursement can be made when you arrive. *Early check-in before noon or check-out after noon will be a $15 as it creates difficulties for housekeeping and next guests.

Wonderful ocean front home right on the ocean. Short walk to sandy beach for swimming. Quiet island with very friends locals. Great diving and snorkeling depending on weather. Cant wait to go back, our stay is never long enough.

Escape from reality is real 🥰
Upon arriving to airport we were greeted by the property manager she was a pleasure and made us feel welcomed from the get go :-)
Once we arrived to the property we couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay the views were amazing morning, noon & night. The stars are amazing on clear evenings. The interior of the home was very clean and literally had everything we needed. We did venture out and about on the island and explored the beautiful caves and the lighthouse is a must to see. The views from the bluff were beautiful. We will certainly be back again soon. Thank you Jeff & Shawn for sharing your adorable comfy home with us.

Very spacious
Property was very spacious for 4 of us. Beautiful views of the ocean but very rough water during our visit. Cute cottage also available if there are 6 of you. Very central location on the Southside.

Perfect escape
We stayed for 3 nights over the public holiday weekend. The property was wonderful, very spacious and bright with lovely decor and beautiful sea views. We loved lying in bed in the morning listening to the sounds of the waves, very soothing. We also enjoyed watching the hermit crabs crawl around outside. It’s a very peaceful spot but in a great location with easy access to supermarket, liquor store, bar and restaurants within 5-10 min drive. We would definitely stay there again and bring our friends next time!

Excellent condo
Excellent condo. Cayman Brack is a small island in the Cayman Islands chain. This condo is located on the water. You can literally walk out on your deck and see the ocean. It is large, clean and well-maintained. The owners are Extremely easy to work with answering all of our questions. The property owner manager is very responsive. This place is more like a home very rental. I would recommend it.

Absolutely Stunning
We absolutely love Escape from Reality. This was our 3rd visit in as many years and we are already planning our return trip. The pictures honestly don’t do this place justice. I remember the first time walking into the house 3 years ago and being blown away by how spacious it is. There is nothing more amazing than waking up in the morning and having that ocean view right there to greet you. We love that this house is a home away from home and has everything you need. The kitchen was full of any utensils we needed and the bathrooms were stocked full of towels and fresh linens. The TV’s have Amazon Prime and Netflix so there was always something to watch on TV. This trip we made use of the washer and dryer which was a nice addition to have. We also loved having the bikes. The house is in a great location with the grocery store (and liquor store) only a 5 minute car ride away. The only thing we wished this house had was shade on the patio so we could sit out during that day. That being said, the public beach is within walking distance (10 minutes) and there is shade there.
During this trip, there just so happened to be an earthquake and the property manager stopped by within 15 minutes to make sure we were okay and the owners called to check in with us as well. Throughout the years, Shawn and Jeff have been absolutely great and have responded to any questions we had right way.

Christmas in Cayman Brac!
We had a perfect vacation in Cayman Brac. This house had all the creature comforts to make us feel at home. We appreciated having some food delivered to the house ahead of time to get the vacation started. The coral reefs are in fantastic shape, and if the surf is calm, the reef off the beach from the house is beautiful! Scuba diving with Brac Scuba Shack was a great experience even for beginners. The island is quiet and very safe. We will be back soon! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Perfect vacation
My wife and I first visited just a couple months ago, and knew immediately we would be coming back. We were only a day into our second trip when we began planning our third! The property is perfect for couples and families, and the views of the ocean make for incredible relaxing evenings watching the sunset. Convenient to everything on the island, absolutely spotless, and all the amenities you could hope for. We'll be back!

Island elegance, truly an amazing home and location. Special artistic island decor, very quiet neighborhood, great for early morning and evening walks.
Five minutes from excellent birding,snorkeling and shore dives.
Owners and caretaker easy to communicate with.

More Than We Even Hoped For
This home truly lives up to its name: Escape from Reality. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The house was beautifully appointed, completely equipped, conveniently located and the views of the seas and skies spectacular. We were met at the airport by a very helpful young man who lead us to the house and helped us get settled in. He made sure that we were able to reach him if we ran into any issues but we had no need of any further assistance throughout our stay. We fully enjoyed three days of peace and quiet and the opportunity to explore this lovely island.

Very Comfortable, Clean and Well Maintained.
This was our ninth vacation to the Brac and our second stay at "Escape From Reality". We were very pleased and hope to stay there again next year! We had our two daughters (18 & 23) with us for the first week of our vacation this year and they were also very impressed with the house. Lovely home away from home!

Loved our Escape from Reality
Beautiful home and well located for all the fun adventures on the Brac. Great to have bikes available and washer dryer. Deck perfect for sunrise and sea grape tree shade perfect for lazy times in hammock. On site staff available with impressively quick response to any problems. Loved it and hope to return next year for longer stay.

Snorklers for life
We love Cayman Brac and this was he 5th time back in the last few years and the 2nd time in this property. It is everything and more then you expect. The home is build, stocked, and supplied by someone who values their property and wants you to live as thought it was your home - not simply a rental property. We have stayed in 10's of properties in places like Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Turks and Caicos, Bays of Honduras and others. Including places that were featured in Architectural Digest and I'd put this property at the top of the list in its layout, furnishings and incidentals. In addition the property owners are extremely responsive as is the local property manager.
The location on the south side of the island makes it wonderful for the sound of waves most nights. The property is very clean and that includes the beach area. People who don't take care of their beach area on Cayman Brac end up with sea debris - mostly from humans.
But this property and the two surrounding are good about their beach property.
The owners are known in Cayman Brac so make sure to ask for their discount from 4D's car rental. This is the first time we rented from an agency off the airport property and everything went smoothly. We had a flat tire and it was fixed within an hour of notifying the rental car company. Luckily we were at the property when it happened.
We expect to go back and will return to this property. We are sure you will enjoy it as much as we do.

We stayed in this house for a week with another couple. There was plenty of room and easily we could have accomodated another couple. A room divider would have turned the living room into a pretty private bedoom, but as is would have accomodated 2 more

Christmas vacation
This was our fourth trip to the Brac and was the nicest house we stayed at yet. Especially enjoyed beginning and ending the day on the back deck with coffee (am) and cocktails (pm)!
Everything we needed was provided and available to make a comfortable stay. Hope to be back next year.

Great place to relax on the Brac!
We had a wonderful stay at Escape From Reality. The house and property are exactly as shown in VRBO. The house is well kept, extremely clean, lovely furnishings and comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom is very comfortable and has lovely bedding to go with. The property is close to dive shops, markets and restaurants, as well it's close to the public beach which is sandy and has easy entry. There are 3 phones in the house, which were very handy to have. A very thoughtful additiion by Jeff and Shawn. As mentioned in another review, we also found the deck on the beach side extremely hot...couldn’t sit or eat out there during the day. Other than that, everything was wonderful. Shawn and Jeff are very easy to communicate with and were very happy to help make our stay a good one.

Awesome home right on the beach!
We loved our stay in this home. The bedrooms and bathrooms look recently updated. Everything is clean and homey, with everything you'd need. The hammock in the shade on the beach is fabulous. The stars at night look like fireworks. The peaceful waves in the background are so soothing. The master bed is very comfortable. The owners are very responsive to inquiries and the whole process was super easy. From this location, you are a very short drive to the dive shops and any of the restaurants you would want to go to. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a piece of luxury on the beach.
