Berkshire Inn

We were welcomed by Brittany and Chris who made us feel immediately at home. The property is beautiful and a great location for our stop over before returning to San Fransisco. Close to the town of Groveland and had a great evening meal in the oldest and longest running saloon in California. We were delighted to have a complimentary breakfast, cooked to order. A big thank you to Chris and Brittany for making our stopover such a great one.

The entrance from the road is steep to the right but there is an alternative approach from the left which circumnavigates the house which is better if you are not comfortable on a steep incline. The setting of The Berkshire Inn is however fantastic with mountain views and surrounded by forests with plenty of parking.

Great location and the owners were so welcoming. The son (around 10) showed us to the room together with dad. As we were sitting on the terrace enjoying the sunset their sweet dog Chance joined us. Also, the hot breakfast was delicious

i looked for AC-didnt see one. Not sure if it was central AC. We slept soundly so we didnt really need the AC. All was good.

We traveled as a family and stayed in 4 different rooms. The hospitality of the owners is truly remarkable, the beds are very comfortable, the rooms and their baths are spotless as the rest of the facilities. The exceptional home made and served breakfast with options to pick from is prepared to suit any food alergies or restrictions. There is nothing in this amazing Inn not to love. I would recommend to friends and other family members. Special mention for Carson and Chance, both help their parents greatly runing the business. Excellent job!
