On a beautiful private 1.5 acre wooded lot set back from the road, this cottage is a vintage charmer with original log furniture, retro accents combined with some great fresh updates make for a comfortable yet charming and rustic atmosphere.
Enjoy breakfast on the waterfront deck, swim or kayak in Lake Michigan, cook out on the Weber gas grill, then have an outdoor fire in the evening.
Jacksonport is just 10 minutes north offering Bleys Grocery, Mikes Port Pub, Island Fever, Lil Bit of Coffee, Jacksonport Bakery and Peninsula Kayak.
Rustic Charm on Schauer Road is a great location to access all highlights of the peninsula.
Rustic Charm sleeps 4-5 people - each bedroom has a full size bed and the living room has a full size sleeper couch.
This home has excellent Wifi and a Smart TV for streaming your choice of programming.
Rustic Charm is located 2.5 miles south of downtown Jacksonport, just a short walk from the Schauer Road boat launch and a few minutes north of "Cave Point" and Whitefish Dunes State Park.

This is a lovely cottage on the shores of Lake Michigan. We visited during a sorrowful time in our lives, and I was so glad that this was the place we were together. The owner was extremely kind and generous. We talked about coming here again. I will never forget this lovely house and site.

We arrived after dark but couldn’t really see the view. When we woke in the morning, we were blown away. It almost seems like you are IN Lake Michigan. The cabin itself is exactly as advertised; very charming and rustic. It is also very clean.Only quibbles: the tv relies on internet, which is not strong enough to support downloaded apps (e.g., ESPN). Also the fireplace is a little tricky to start if you have no experience with gas logs and a remote. I tried to contact the owner, and to be fair, she does say to not contact after 10pm. I texted at 10:15 and was told she was in bed but would have someone contact me next day. That never happened.But these are minor issues. If you are looking to get away in DC, in a gorgeous spot right on the water, this is a homerun cabin.
