About this cottage rental
Located in Friday Harbor, this attractive cottage for $200 per night is a great option for your next trip. Beautiful, brand new two person studio cottage, with a full kitchen, inspiring picture window views of Griffin bay and beyond. Comfortable queen bed. Sitting area has gorgeous water view. The lagoon at the bottom of our yard has marvelous bird activity. This property is on the water; you can step onto the shore. Private garden, entrance and parking. This location is close to town, yet peaceful and surrounded by nature. The lagoon provides wonderful bird watching opportunities and the sunny south facing site is truly enjoyable.

My husband and I wanted to get away for our 29th wedding anniversary so we went to Friday Harbor and stayed at this cute cabin. Check in was a breeze, the hosts were very friendly, and the cabin itself was very clean and had all of the amenities one could want!
The chairs by the water were so comfy even though it was a bit cold. It was very relaxing!
We will be back!

Beautiful spot with a view of the water. James was great, very unobtrusive, but available with good advice. Location is very close to Friday Harbor, but well enough away from the main streets and ferry terminal. We plan on returning to the cottage when we visit next.
Several reported spotting of Orcas and Humpback whales from Jackson beach nearby while we were there.

My wife and I were there for three nights. The studio was super clean, comfortable, and well equipped. They even had comfy chairs down by the beach. We would stay here again.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is the cutest space with great views. It is very comfortable. The location is great, nice and close to town. That was best part we could sleep in and still get a full days worth because everything is so convenient.

Our stay was extra enjoyable because of the ability to the bay. The cottage, and the back yard were very homey. There were binoculars to borrow which came in handy to look at the Orcas! The place was very clean and the coffee was appreciated. James welcomed us and provided a map with recommendations.

Clear instructions, cabin is well appointed and much better equipped and maintained than many other properties I have rented through VRBO. It’s cared for as a home and is a great peaceful and quaint place to be.

Only minutes from anywhere we were drawn to visit, dine, sail or immerse in the nature and history of San Juan Island, Jame's place was magical. He and his wife have taken the care to create a contemporary, private (and full kitchen-ed!) retreat. The floor plan extended into a cozy sitting area with an expansive picture window view of their lushly planted gardens. The gardens were just a short stroll from their sheltered beach where we were able to take in low and high tide flora and fauna. We had all the comforts and conveniences of home and a charming patio where we could enjoy a bottle of wine and the nature that surrounded us. It was hard to venture out!

What a stunning spot. My son and I come the island annually for a pre-school summer send-off, and this rental is by far our favorite! It’s beautifully built, feels cozy and homey, shockingly clean, and has all the amenities anyone would need. The beach access was a highlight for us, picking perfectly ripe blackberries on the short walk to the water’s edge. I almost don’t want anyone else to know about this secluded-yet-close-to-town gem on SJI so I can make sure to book it every year… Really, if you’re on the fence about a place to stay, this one is it.

Everyone describes this cozy seaside cottage as "peaceful. " We agree! Jim, the host, was on site to see to our needs but the cottage is fully stocked with anything you may need. Very clean. Comfy bed too! Perfect for us, as we attended a family wedding on island.

Wonderful property and wonderful hosts. The flower garden on our patio was amazing. We were also lucky enough the see three otters from the sitting area on the waterfront.

Unfortunately, we didn't get to spend much time in this cute property but it met our needs for the short time we were there! My only suggestion would be window coverings - the property is very private so I wasn't worried about that, but it got very bright in the space very early after a late night dancing!

Perfect place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet getaway after a days filled with San Juan charm and adventure. The cottage’s flower garden reminded me of Better Homes & Gardens photos. Lovely evenings spent on Adirondack chairs by the quiet inlet of Griffin Bay. Comfortable sitting nook inside made a nice spot to view the stars. Owners were lovely and helpful. Hope to visit again soon!

This was a nice, quiet property just outside the city of Friday Harbor, so it was convenient to all the places on the island. Beautiful yard and water access as well.

Very clean inside. If you just need a place to sleep and hangout inside, it’s great. Outside area was peaceful but yard is overgrown and wasn’t very enjoyable. Seating area behind house is small and didn’t want to eat out there. Chairs by the water are nice. Only came back to sleep at night and spent most of the day doing other activities.

We were on bikes for this stay and it's only a short 1 mile into Friday Harbor dining and groceries. The unit is clean and comfortable and the grounds are nicely kept. We were made feeling very welcome. A keeper to come back to.

I booked this property for a b-day trip to the island to see the wild red fox population...and was not disappointed! Jim and Peg's cabin is adorable! Clean, full of light and character, it is close to town and the San Juan Island National Park. The property overlooks the water and is nice and quiet. I highly recommend a weekend getaway.

Jim was a responsive host who answered my initial questions and kept a very clean and well equipped little cottage. I would stay there again.

This is a great place to stay. It was quiet, comfortable, lovely and in a beautiful location. In great proximity to town and getting to the sights of the island. Peg and Jim were great at communicating. I highly recommend this as a place to stay for 1-2 people.
