Located in Skiatook Lake, this attractive cottage for $120 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Extremely rare opportunity for intimate time at the lake. The only truly shoreside sleeping arrangements on Lake Skiatook, this unit is in one of only two cottages that are actually placed on the shore of the lake. Secluded and very private, but still just a quick walk to the amazing Cross Timbers Marina, restaurant and fishing. After a long sporting day come back to the quiet lapping waves of the lake onto the shore. Enjoy the barbeque grill and the privacy of this simple studio. A functional unit with fridge, electric stovetop, microwave, coffee maker and bathroom with shower, this unit has a tall ceiling, a memory foam Queen bed and indoor and outdoor dining tables. Enjoy the semi-private deck with the best of all views of the lake. Combine this with the neighboring units for family vacations. *Must be 25yrs to rent* *This cottage has a strict no pet policy!* Amenities include: 1 Bedroom with queen bed 1 Bathroom Full kitchen Propane grill Direct TV Coffee pot Heat and air window unit Towels and linens provided

The cottage we stayed in was small but the view of the lake was beautiful. There was a tire on the shore and the gate was laying on the ground but didn’t affect the view from our place. Overall nice stay.

The online pictures does this property absolutely no justice. Small is a understatement but the view over the lake and the sunrise and sunset made up the difference. The television could have been bigger but we could never get it to work either way. Last but not least I believe that should at least be two sets of towels per person because you never know what may happen.

Not private at all
What they don’t tell you is there are 3 cabins connected together. We couldn’t set out on the deck and enjoy the Lake because the was another family 10 feet away on the same deck playing football and talking so loud my wife and I couldn’t even hear each other. Also there is not enough hot water in the cabin for 2 people to shower in the same hours. After my wife showered I waited 30 minutes for the water to reheat it never did I messaged the property manager about the problem have heard bake from them yet.

I had read a review that said that Castaway had a bed that was "rock hard", but I guess I thought it couldn't be that bad. It was that bad!! The bed was intolerably hard. After one night, I had to relocate to another unit. Also, this is the first place I have ever stayed where there was no communication about arrival 24 hours before my stay. I had to write the host twice to get a reply. Castaway is expectedly small with a wonderful view right on the water. The porch is shared with the unit next door.

Beautiful getaway
We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. Property was perfect for celebrating our anniversary. Peaceful and relaxing, views were spectacular. We will absolutely be back.

Okay Experience -Misrepresented
The view from the room is nice that's it. The cabin/room is extremely small and the only accurate picture in the advertisement of the room is the bathroom. The cabin was not cleaned properly before our arrival as there were dead bugs left throughout the cabin/room, as well spider webs, the bed was extremely hard, the external of the cabin is not well kept (need to pressure washed) the grill advertised was not usable. The TV extremely small. Not enough bath-clothes for two. Will not stay again

Stay at Cross Timbers
Management at the Marina was wonderful and very helpful. Had trouble finding the reservation. The people at the marina were very accomodating. Cottage was just one room as a studio similar to a hotel room. Bathroom very small. common deck area to other parts of building. Would of like a little more privacy.

Disappointed
We were hoping for a relaxing getaway, and looking at the description was a little deceiving. I don’t mind having ‘neighbors’ and I know complete privacy is not going to happen most of the time. However, these cabins are basically duplexes where you can hear quite a lot of what goes on next door as well as outside. We stayed two nights, in which on the second evening we found ourselves in the middle of a wedding right outside our door and all around us. We felt like we were intruding as well as trapped. Very noisy. Thankfully we had locked our door, as one of the guests tried to enter our cabin. They had a halogen light they didn’t bother turning off until 1 a.m. I am sure this is not the norm, however would probably have chosen to stay elsewhere if given the choice.

Perfect little hideaway
Right on the lake. Small space (200 sf) but a lot of outdoor covered deck space to spill over on to. Clean and quiet lake. Great marina. Great staff.

Beautiful and Peaceful
It was a cold day so they had to move me to the Honeymoon cabin, but it was a bit bigger so I was grateful. The spot is beautiful overlooking the lake. Everything you need to enjoy a peaceful time away.

Loved it!
Robin was great, we got to up grade to a bigger cabin. It was very nice and the view was awesome. We will be going back real soon.

Ended up not staying
We showed up late after we were told we could do a late check in after our wedding around 10:30 and there was a gate and couldn’t get in, finally got in since another car was coming out! Had no instructions where to check in, no number or anything to contact someone when we were driving around! Ended up having to leave and go get a hotel, was not happy!

Property and lake view are amazing. Better than a tent! Privacy was an issue .
Website is deceiving! We were looking for privacy and didn’t realize there would be guests at each end of property attached to our cabin. We could hear their conversations/music so we know they heard us. Annoying when they left outdoor lights on all night shining in our room. Didn’t feel like we could enjoy dinner out on patio with someone talking on their phone across from us. Again deceiving! No privacy! We didn’t come to stay with 2 other couples who are strangers. No fire 🔥� pit. Told to make our own. Quaint and clean however a high top table with bar stools isn’t very comfy or relaxing. No mattress pad on bed is just plain gross and nasty. Had to go ask for t-paper when we were assured consumables would be there. Light bulbs burnt out. Vent fan not working and fridge needed defrosted. Couldn’t use freezer. Tv didn’t work. No channels. Still better than a tent if that’s what you’re going for. We made the most of it and still had fun. We’re used to camping so it was fine. Privacy just felt violated.

Wonderful lakeside cabin
We originally booked the " Castaway by the shore". When we went to get our key, somehow, there was a mix up in our reservation because there was someone already in that unit. The key we received was for The Honeymooner cabin, which was fantastic sine we were celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary. The whole area around the lake is beautiful and the accommodations are top notch for a weekend getaway. The restaurant near the cabin looked very nice but we ate in. We plan to return in the future!

Enjoyable stay
We enjoyed our stay. Had a little plumbing issue when we first arrived. We would suggest that a fly swatter and a plunger be left in each unit. Cabin was clean. We stayed nice and cool and the bed was comfortable. The common grill between the Castaway and Honeymooner needs a good cleaning though. The deck outside was perfect to look out over the lake, especially for morning coffee.
