Welcome to Shorehom by the Sea #36 - a direct oceanfront condo on no-drive New Smyrna Beach! Recently renovated and updated with new furniture, TVs, and decor, this well-appointed condo is the perfect home base for families or groups who wants to explore New Smyrna Beach in style. Enjoy picture perfect Atlantic Ocean and New Smyrna Beach views from the living room, dining room, master bedroom, and large 3rd floor balcony situated right above the sand dunes.
The master suite has a comfy king bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a large mounted TV with cable. The guest bedroom has been updated with a brand new plush queen bed, a twin bunk, and it's own TV.
All of our condos come standard with the Florida Vacay Rentals amenities that you've come to know and love:

For your convenience, a full-size washer and dryer are provided in the condo, along with a starter kit of essentials: Laundry detergent, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, paper towel, packaged kitchen sponge, trash bags, and hand soap. These items are provided in a limited quantity to get you started on your Vacay. We do not replenish or restock starter kit items after the quantity provided has been used.

Ponce Inlet, just a couple minutes North, is one of Florida's destination surf locations as well; throwing both left and right, decently sized swells.
Explore nearby Canaveral National Seashore Park (just 4 miles away), day-trip to Orlando's many theme parks, take in a NASCAR race or the Speedway museum in Daytona Beach, go deep-sea or surf fishing, shop the boutiques in historic New Smyrna Beach, or play golf at the excellent nearby courses: LPGA, New Smyrna Beach Municipal (Donald Ross), Sugar Mill (Robert Trent Jones) and Walkabout (Perry Dye).

My stay didn’t start out great. We walked in and there was a broken drawer handle in the kitchen. I quickly let them know. The first night we tried turning on the lights in the living room and they didn’t work. We called the after hours number and the guy had my husband flipping switches in the breaker box and all the switches on the walls. We never got them working so we went to bed. While we were sleeping, the hurricane shutter fell halfway down. We tried using the switch to make it go back up with no luck. The switch did make it go fully down. I was afraid of leaving it halfway down. I thought it might fall and I had my 1 year old to think about. Later that day, someone came and looked at it and said the shutter company would have to come out. They did the next afternoon. I didn’t enjoy looking at a black wall instead of the beach but what can you do? They sent house keeping out to check on the lights. She said the lamps weren’t plugged in. They were. We had unplugged and plugged back in. My husband and my father-in-law as a matter of fact. I just didn’t appreciate some of the things that happened. I thought they may compensate us a little for our issues. I thought they might say “enjoy dinner on us” or comp the cleaning fee. No such luck. The condo wasn’t spotless as some reviews have said. There was actually coffee in the coffee pot when we got there. I don’t know if it has something to do with the location or what, but if we walked barefoot in the condo, our feet were black. They came Sunday and cleaned again but my 1 year still had black feet after running around. Maybe it has something to do with the beach. I’m not sure. I’m just disappointed for the kind of money I paid. I’m going to move on and use this as a lesson learned.
