About this cottage rental
Located in Skaneateles, this attractive cottage for $175 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This quaint, pet friendly (with owner permission and security deposit) cottage is one mile from center of Skaneateles village-easy walking distance. It's located on a private lane approximately 400 feet from Skaneateles Lake-no roads to cross. The cottage is surrounded by trees. The cottage, with a 2 minute stroll down the owner owner lane, to the lake, includes a separate, private porch (rustic red building shown in photo) right on the lake-great for cocktails, sunsets, etc. Please note: The red cottage at water's edge is storage only. You will be staying is in the browish cottage which is detailed in the pictures. The reddish cottage shows your lake access. There is a 2 minute walk between the cottage you stay in and your private lake access. The lakefront is level, has its own dock, and and has a gradual slope-great for swimming for all ages. The lane is tree lined-very private. The cottage is heated,. The cottage can accommodate, beds for, 4 people, and has wi-fi and cable.

The place was great, roomy for just the two of us and our dog. I loved taking the short walk down to the lakeshore each morning and especially at night to see all the stars. Hosts were more than accommodating and friendly. We'll definitely stay here again!

since the property owner recommends that guests use bottled water for drinking, a couple of bottles to get a new guest started would be appreciated.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the cottage. Very serene setting, yet so close to the village, which is a 25 minute walk away. Wonderful sunsets from the dock. Thanks to Andy!

Our cabin was in a very private area with access to the lake. That is exactly what we we were looking for—privacy, quiet, and a peaceful natural area with birds and our special rabbit whom we saw frequently.
We loved the dock area and spent a lot of time there just looking at the lake. We took our boards and kayak out every day to explore the beautiful, clean waters of the lake. It was a wonderful experience.
The cabin was comfortable and clean, with all necessities provided. I appreciated the coffee-table book about the Finger Lakes, which made me think about the history of the region and its progressive communities.
The back porch and campfire area were also comfy, and we used them a lot.
I hope that cabins like ours continue to be offered to Skaneateles visitors, and that the neighborhood does not become increasingly posh and exclusive.

We enjoyed our stay at Skaneateles lake. The cottage has lake access, which is where we launched our kayaks from. The lake was quiet and calm during our stay! Andy is very nice and was responsive to my questions. Tyson enjoyed our getaway!

This property was perfect for our needs. We were gone most days, but we did enjoy the scenery surrounding the cottage. It was gorgeous. It fit 3 adults nicely. I wouldn't recommend any more than 4. The property manager was communicative and checking in and out was a breeze.

The cabin had all the amenities listed and was a nice home away from home. The interior was clean and ready for our visit. Just a short walk from the cabin, the sitting area down by the lake was very peaceful. The neighborhood was quiet and close to areas we wanted to see, including Syracuse, Seneca Falls, and Auburn.

The cabin was very nice. The bed was comfortable and we spent coffee time on the porch. It is a short stroll to the water where you can sit on a porch or dock on the water for a beautiful sunset.
We brought our fishing boat and enjoyed relaxing and fishing on the lake. There is a great NYS boat launch on the west side of the lake. You do need to bring bottled water for drinking. Our dog seemed to enjoy her little get away.

We love this area and all around Skaneateles. This location is convenient to town and stores and recreation. Walking down to the lake and sitting was so relaxing. We had a nice cook out with some family who came up for the day and a nice campfire in the firepit to cap off a truly wonderful vacation.

Great Stay
We really enjoyed our time at the cozy cabin. Just a shirt stroll down the lane to the lake. Andy, our host was quick to respond if we had questions orior to our stay. He was also readily a available if we needed him while at the cabin.

Perfect Skaneateles Stay
This place is everything and more! The pictures don’t do it justice. The inside has a coziness that isn’t captured by photos. It feels like you’re staying at a remote “camp” but walking distance to town- which I wouldn’t have thought was possible. Andy went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He let us use his Cornhole set too! 5 stars.
