Glenbardie Bothy was the perfect getaway for our family of five plus dog. Situated at the end of a gravel drive you could by miles from anywhere but in fact you are only a five minute walk to shops, cafes and restaurants. The house itself has been renovated brilliantly with space for everyone to be together and also be able to hide away - with two teenagers this was ideal! The kitchen had everything you’d need and the utility room was great for being able to get some washings done after a day of gorge walking. Ballater is a fantastic little town. We know it well and have holidayed there many times. Our dog had an absolute ball with the many different walks on offer - up hills, through forests and in the river! I’d highly recommend a stay at Glenbardie Bothy, you don’t be disappointed.

Lovely, clean, well equipped house. 5 mins walk from the centre of Ballater. Lovely walks along the River Dee and Craigendarroch Hill are also 5 mins away and well sign posted. There are nice shops in Ballater, including very good butchers, ice cream and sweet shops. We will definitely come back again.

A really well laid out property with modern amenities and comfortable furnishings etc. Quietly 'tucked away' off a main road but very convenient for the village centre and a great base for walking and sightseeing in this wonderfully scenic location.
