Heart of Santa Fe old adobe casa-Quick walk to Plaza, Railyard and Canyon Rd.
About this house rental
Nestled in Santa Fe, this lovely house for $155 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Casa Dominguez is a 420 sq ft adobe cottage lovingly rebuilt and less than three blocks from the Historic Santa Fe Plaza. The 18 inch thick adobe walls make the property remarkably quiet given its close proximity to the Santa Fe Railyard District, the Historic Santa Fe Plaza, Canyon Road and The State Capitol Grounds. Casa Dominguez has a kitchen with refrigerator and microwave (toaster oven and counter-cooktop on request), bedroom with closet, and a living room and dining area. During the recent, extensive renovation that included a new roof, windows, plumbing, electrical and HVAC, historically appropriate materials were used whenever possible. Furnishings in the home include personal furniture that have been painstakingly restored. Casa Dominguez is literally, historic Santa Fe with modern comforts. Santa Fe's iconic coffee shop, Ohori's, is across Manhattan Street just steps away. Santa Fe's best bakery, Sage Bakehouse, is conveniently around the corner. Performance venues Lensic Theater and St. Francis Auditorium as well as Site Santa Fe, New Mexico Museum of Art, the Palace of the Governors and the New Mexico History Museum are all less than a 10 minute walk from the Casa. Our commercial laundry service – the same laundry service used by most high-end hotels in Northern New Mexico - uses unscented, hypoallergenic detergent and extremely hot water. Sheets are lightly starched and ironed at 385 degrees. Short Term Rental Permit STR224171 Should you have any suggestions, please let Linda and Lance know.

Our hosts were very welcoming: Lance gave us great tips on the art scene, museums, and restaurants. Casita was very clean and well stocked. Looking forward to another visit.

Small, clean, quiet, centrally located. Easy access to food (which is important. There is a perfectly workable kitchenette - refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and microwave (the last two in request - but not a full kitchen. Since i don't really cook, i'm not sure what i would do with a full kitchen anyway. loved it.

This was a perfect stay for our new years getaway. Everything is at most a 15-17 min walk away. I would 100% stay here again. The space was very comfortable, clean and well maintained. The history in the space is respected. It’s a vey homey space and I felt very cozy from the moment I walked in. I will say this is not the place for scratch cooked meals as it’s not a “full kitchen” but truly I was not slightly bothered because there was enough there to make small meals and the food around town is spectacular. The listing was clear so no surprises at any turn. A wonderful place to stay.

We had a wonderful time at this casita. The space was so clean, and the hosts were accommodating and very friendly. We definitely want to stay here again the next time we come to Santa Fe.

We’ve always wanted to spend Christmas in Santa Fe because of all we’d heard about the festivities there. Casa Dominguez was a perfect spot for our little getaway- tiny but cozy, it had everything we needed and then some. This beautifully and thoughtfully renovated little house is in a great location and we could easily walk to the Plaza, the Cathedral and many museums and restaurants. Lance and Linda were sincerely welcoming and easy to communicate with. Photos of the interior are very accurate. Casa Dominguez was a happy home away from home for our holiday.

I had a wonderful, weeklong stay in Casa Dominguez. The cozy, charming, historic casita was the perfect home away from home: well-appointed with all the necessary amenities and a short walk from all the shops, restaurants, galleries, and museums. The hosts were accessible and easy to work with. I really couldn't have asked for a better location or accommodations. I highly recommend Casa Dominguez.

Perfect location and set up for my solo travel to Santa Fe. Close to Plaza and other areas of interest. Well furnished.

This was the best vacation I have had for over 50 years. As I call it, My casa D....it was so clean, windows kept open each night with the breeze, very secure and private and within walking distance...Everywhere. I saw galleries, Santa Fe marketplace, quaint coffee places, The Pantry, The Shed, Oldest House and Church, Loretto Chapel, and the People were so happy and the best to make me feel welcome. And the food and green chilies on every dish I had....Linda and Lance were so good to me! I hope and pray that I can come back to Santa Fe and it's enchanment...It is calling to me...Veronica

If you are looking for a place close to Santa Fe plaza and the local flavor, then this is the spot for you! Great value and great hosts.

Absolutely perfect stay! Linda's home is perfectly located to Old Town Santa Fe. Linda left us wine and cheese upon arrival - such a thoughtful touch. Loved learning about the history of the home - and seeing the "before" pictures in the book. Highly recommend if you're searching for a Santa Fe treasure!

Nicely finished and furnished casita within walking distance of Santa Fe town center and Railyard spot.

Out stay at this casita was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I knew we were going to love it.
It's beautifully decorated with a Southwestern flair, offering an authentic Santa Fe experience. The attention to detail in every corner of the casita was remarkable, be sure to check out the book showing the before and after photos of all the work Linda and Lance put into this space.
One of the highlights of this casita was the private courtyard. It was ideal for enjoying morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
The location of this casita couldn't have been better. It was conveniently located making it easy to explore the city's art scene, shops, and restaurants. We had a rental car but we were able to walk to many places! If you like beer, it is just a block down from Santa Fe Brewing.
The hosts were exceptionally attentive and truly added to the overall delight of our stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in Santa Fe at this great casita. The only day we used our car was to go to Taos for the day. Lance the owner gave us so many great tips for our trip to Taos as well as places not to be missed in Santa Fe. Welcome snacks were so appreciated. The casita is designed tastefully in Santa Fe style and so efficient in use of space. We will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Dominguez!
We had everything we needed and nothing we didn't.
The location made it easy to get (on foot or by car) to the Historic area, Railyard area and to so many fabulous restaurants and points of interest. Even a movie theater!
The space was clean and comfortable, the bed cozy and the kitchen well equipped.
After being greeted we were left blissfully alone to enjoy and explore as well as refresh with the provided snacks and drinks- a very welcome and thoughtful plus.
Especially loved: Hyde State Park, Canyon Road, Ski Valley Taos, LaFonda rooftop, Vinaigrette, Horno, Sage Bakehouse and a fabulous and HUGE consignment shop mere blocks away. Bring an empty suitcase!

Well laid out unit with everything you need. A ten minute walk to the Plaza, and good access to local roads for getting around town. This is perfect for two people and large enough for impromptu gatherings of friends and family.

This one bedroom charmingly renovated adobe lodging was perfect for our four night stay in Santa Fe. Walking distance to the downtown and plaza area, Canyon Road galleries, the rail yard district and a variety of restaurants, the location was also quiet and private. The kitchenette was handy for our extended stay and the hospitality shown by Linda and Lance went above and beyond!

We really enjoyed the property. The hosts were quick to communicate, and very friendly. I find that most rentals don’t show any hospitality, and charge a cleaning fee, even though you have to clean the place after use. Casa Dominguez was super clean, the hosts had cheese and crackers, wine, a few beers, and milk in the fridge! When leaving, we didn’t have to take out trash or accumulate linens. Other rental hosts should take a page out Casa Dominguez’s hosts book!!

Thoughtfully renovated space that was ideal for exploring Santa Fe. Lance went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Highly recommend.

We just loved Casita Dominguez. We stayed four night for our 30th anniversary. Entry instructions were spot on. Owners had the place all ready to go for our arrival, complete with handwritten welcome and treats. We liked the history and photo album of the casita’s remodeling. The rooms have neat brick floors and Indian rugs. The couch, antique rocker, and bistro table are all comfortable. The bedroom a king size bed with comfy mattress. The kitchenette does have enough to prepare meals, such as hot plate, blender, microwave etc. (though we are out mostly). The bathroom is airy. The patio is cool for coffee in the morning or to enjoy the afternoon; it’s shielded and there are lots of foliage to keep it temperate. It’s a short walk to the Plaza and all that’s there to enjoy. There are also a several restaurants, coffee shops, and bakery within a block or two of the casita. In short, the place is a lovely as advertised.

Adorable historic property. Linda and Lance welcomed us with a bottle of wine, cheese and a sweet note wishing us a happy anniversary! I love all the personal touches and the pride they have in their property. The air conditioning was not working and they were apologetic and accommodating by bringing us a nice fan. It was not an issue as the nights were cool. The only issue was keeping the windows open we could hear a lot traffic but easily drowned out by the fan. We did have a little problem with a homeless visitor staying next to us but before we even needed to call Lance had kindly dealt with the situation.
Location was walkable to everything.
House was adorable!
Owners amazing!

I was greeted a lovely note explaining everything. The provided beer, wine, cheese, and crackers really made coming in late nice. The stay was great and it probably is the best location with so much in walking distance but not right in the middle of the busy tourist area. I felt at home the whole stay.

I had a great stay at Casa Dominguez! The location is perfectly positioned to be walking distance from popular spots like Canyon Road, Railyard District, and the Plaza! What you see in the photos is exactly how it is - cozy, clean, bright!

Linda was very responsive and helpful with my pre-trip questions, and Lance was great and met me on the corner and helped me find my way. The place is charming, well laid out, and had everything I needed to be comfortable. It was fabulous to have the coffee shop across the street, though Linda made available everything to make coffee there. One small thing to note, at times there was traffic noise from Cerrillos Road, though I only noticed it from the front room not the bedroom. It was a treat to stay there, and a very good value.

Charming historic casita among a cache of several, beautifully and lovingly restored, comfortable and full of authentic character, so convenient to the Plaza and Railyards districts, and with lovely hosts. Can't imagine what else you'd need for a Santa Fe visit.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were great communicators, very hospitable and accommodating. The place is really cute, comfortable, private, nicely decorated, stocked with everything we needed, and immaculately clean. Just a few blocks walk from the central plaza. I loved that I could walk across the street in the morning to get a superb coffee, and a few blocks further are a variety of good restaurants, not to mention galleries and museums.

Perfect location to explore all parts of Sante Fe. Walk to the Plaza, railyard, capital, and Canyon within minutes. Very nice accommodations for 1-2 people who enjoy eating out at Sante Fe's many restaurant choices. This property does not have a full kitchen but has a small fridge and countertop heating element. Very nicely appointed for a very comfortable stay.

Our stay at Casa Dominguez was fantastic from start to finish! The hosts were extremely responsive to communication, and when our flight got delayed and we missed the first night of our stay, we were graciously offered the chance to extend our trip for one more not at no extra charge. The house itself is beautifully redone, extremely clean, well-maintained, comfortable, and welcoming! It is very centrally located so we were able to walk everywhere within minutes. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come visit again!
