Beach access is a short walk from the home and ocean and sound views can be seen from the top level ships watch. The home is also conveniently located near restaurants and shopping. A private swimming pool welcomes you to relax in the sun, serving drinks from the outdoor bar. Just inside the home you’ll find a game room with foosball table. In addition, the lower level of the home offers a queen bedroom and bedroom with 2 singles that share use of a common full bath. The mid-level of the home features two master bedrooms (king, queen) each with a private full bath. The king master bath has a luxurious Jacuzzi tub, dual vanity and walk-in shower. Another queen bedroom and bedroom with 2 singles share a common full bath. A half bath greets you on the landing as you step up to the top level of the home to find the spacious great room with vaulted ceilings. Relax in front of the large flat screen TV while the chef in the family cooks up the evening's meal in the kitchen. A breakfast bar provides additional seating while the adjacent dining area seats the group. Up a few steps is a loft for a quiet respite with a good book, or step out onto the deck to gaze at the stars. Climb to the ships watch for views of both ocean and sound. Take a break from your norm at this charming home in Avon. *Guests have access to Kinnakeet Shores Pool & Tennis courts. You will sign in with the attendant using the house name. Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized. This property is managed by Surf or Sound Realty. More payment options available after booking. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-refundable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. *You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. Do not use VRBO and Do NOT stay at this property. The layout of the house is great but it has major flaws; rotten floors that have been covered with LVP and an inefficient HVAC system that was ignored and masked with poorly installed window units on the third floor. When it rained, water POURED in from the window units and seeped into an electrical outlet. It was a serious hazard and the property manager didn’t seem to care for hours. To top it off, the property manager, Surf or Sound, called to tell me I hadn’t paid the fees for our two dogs so they charged my debit card. This is after departing. I emailed them the paid bill that showed “additional charges” which I assumed were the dog charges. They said that had to be a VRBO charge because the pet fees weren’t included in my original payment even though I disclosed two pets when deciding to rent the house. I will never use VRBO or stay at a Surf or Sound property again. Additionally, the owner of this property is just an investor looking for rental income that is essentially negligible to him. We looked him up on GIS and spoke to him.

House was nice and very big, but pictures on listing were taken a long time ago. Noticeable wear and tear on this place. Pool and hot tub are great. Great location for riding bikes

Overall we were pleased. Some furniture and appliance were either broken or suboptimal. There were not enough kitchen utensils. The pool and hot tub were great. The plumbing in the house was prone to clogging even with just fluid or a small amount toilet paper. The garbage disposal was broken.

Where do I start? The Sea Creature really has a lot of potential. Is was really sad that the online pictures are somewhat deceptive. The bedroom were ok, but new new mattresses. The living room is spacious, but the couch was torn and dirty. The carpets were filthy, and your feet stayed dirty. The ceiling in one bedroom needed a little repairing. Definitely need a new coffee maker. The sad part is you change those little things, and the house would get an A+ rating

We wish we understood how many steps were involved. We had ants in the kitchen, the fridge does not get cold, the grill is very dirty, and the dryer does not work. However, this house is nice. We had a lovely vacation.

This was our first visit to OBX and we really enjoyed the area as we are already making plans to come back next year. We just wouldn't stay in that house again. To start the stove top had some issues as at least one of the burners wasn't working, The Freezer had some difficulty keeping temp, The outside grill was disgusting. The grates on the grill were completely rusted out as were the baffles. We grill a lot and were pretty disappointed in that as we had just bought a bunch of food for grilling that had to be cooked differently and if you are a Tuna eater you know the difference lol. When we arrived The kids were excited to get in the Hot Tub but when we took the top off, the top practically disintegrated in our hands which made the water really dirty. The upstairs AC didn't work, the blender to make drinks didn't work and there was no posted code to the internet. I can say that Surf or Sound realty was very good at responding quickly but there was just way too much wrong with house as it is. I would use that company again but next year we are going to be on ocean side in a better house.
